"The Wizard of Oz" coming to Icon of the Seas
Jill replied to JoeC's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I think it’s a great choice and considering what Nick Weir has put out lately, I’m sure it’ll be high tech. -
Mariner of the Seas - 4 night Western Caribbean

All new ice skating cast is all I’ve heard. Go follow Marc Walker Cruise Director on Facebook. He’s been posting daily from Cadiz with pics of the dry dock work -
I follow Marc Walker (Bing Bong) on Facebook. Pool deck is getting all new decking/flooring. She’s been painted and her big “dent” was fixed today. He’s onboard now with the CD staff. He’s posted quite a few pics

New cruise planner item, Premier Pass?
Jill replied to MerryLoves2Cruise's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
WAIT IT JUST GETS BETTER! Apparently when you put your boarding pass in your Apple Wallet, you now have The Key! I won’t have boarding passes until March 23. Can anyone else confirm? I’m seeing a bunch of people on Facebook that it’s happened to. Oh Snap! -
New cruise planner item, Premier Pass?

So I’m showing $100 OBC and so are our friends who I told to buy it. When I bought it, I clicked my name and my husband’s name and was charged $177 something. I saw $88 for package but even at $88 a person it was a deal. We shall see! -
What itineraries are you looking at? We just did the 12 night Holy Land/Greece/Turkey/Cyprus back in October. We only did one ship tour in Santorini just to get priority tender. The rest were small group/private. Heard so many complaints about the ship tours, especially in Israel.

We’re linked with our friends who are in the same type cabin next door to us. Their reservation is above ours

It can’t be free @Midwest Cruiser. The beach club only has capacity for 3800 (at least that’s what was initially reported). Thats 1/2 an oasis or icon class ship. I expect the whole thing will have a price tag

Tips & Tricks for Optimizing Unlimited Dining Package
Jill replied to Archchic's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
I have to admit that we have never made full use of UDP. We have only ever used it for dinners. Sea days are always on the pool deck so no specialty lunch. However I think I may have to re-think the whole nachos at the aqua theater lol. Now that’s a game changer! We just aren’t big food people but prefer a more “restaurant” feel versus MDR. I can’t imagine eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same day with the portions served on the ship. Pretty sure they’re making money off us! -
St. Thomas Beach sugggestions - Not Meagan's Bay
Jill replied to HAK1906's topic in Shore Excursions
Last time (last March on Wonder) we just hopped over to Lindbergh Bay. Literally right around the corner. It wasn’t crowded, had a hotel restaurant and bar with chairs/umbrellas to rent -
Can anyone verify: making reservations with package
Jill replied to Jill's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Ok thank you! I hate surprises and I have “my” system down pat. Now I shall prepare to run to MDR kiosk! As long as my show reservations are already made prior to boarding, I’ll just have to worry about dinner reservations. I’m so Type A but everyone who travels with us loves me because I plan everything and they just show up when I tell them too! -
Someone in a Facebook group said that they were not allowed to go to a specialty restaurant to make their reservations for the week. They were directed to the theater which had a very long line. This was on oasis. Has anyone had this experience?

Our first D+ coming up soon. Do I still need to make show reservations or can we just show up?

This is a new one. A port stop ADDED to a cruise.
Jill replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
That happened on our Holy Land cruise last October. Cyprus was added as a port. We were not charged extra. I’m sure those that booked after the addition were charged port fees/taxes. I’m glad it was added. It was a great port! Beautiful! -
I follow Marc Walker Cruise Director on Facebook and he’s currently on Navigator for the Star Trek cruise and then The 80’s cruise. From what he’s posted, there are no Royal Caribbean shows/entertainment. The charter brings their own. I know your loyalty perks (free drinks, internet, photo etc) are not available on charter cruises. Not sure if you earn loyalty points. I don’t think you do. Hopefully someone will chime in on that. They do look like a lot of fun though. William Shatner was onboard for this one. Next year it moves back to a Florida port.

What travel agency (agencies) do you recommend
Jill replied to SewerUrchin43's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I use Sharla at MEI since October 2019 with 5 sailed with 3 booked. She was awesome through all the Covid crap with those blasted FCC’s. What a nightmare but she handled it all with grace! -
I was thinking they looked Carnival-ish. Just need flashing neon lights

Not sure how I feel about the new colored blocks. Don’t really like them

Well there goes our 2 coronas

Not available for my May 7th Wonder. Was looking at the beer one. It is available for my October Allure and none of the bags showing for my next April Icon. Probably too soon for that one.
