  1. You can also ask the Captain. He is usually around the ship, and might have a more precise time.
  2. You're thinking of NCL. RC does have cruises that go to Hawaii, but only on re-positioning cruises.
  3. Correct. The programming is age-specific and while your youngest grand child might prefer to be with the older ones, I am sure he/she will have a great time in their group.
  4. Another factor: Navigator's WiFi speeds won't be able to handle video streaming
  5. How old? We've traveled with both of our kids when they were as young as 6 months. Most medicine is not safe for kids under a certain age. I also seem to recall toddlers are less susceptible to motion sickness because of their own lack of motor skills (or at least I thought that's what I heard from my wife or doctor).
  6. As I understand it, the comedy show in the theater is a headliner show, whereas the Comedy Live on deck 4 is a lesser-featured act. Decent chance. Most of the time, comedians get on at one port and off at another. They don't seem to travel with the ship for weeks at a time. Or at least, that's been my observation.
  7. Royal Caribbean does not really cruise to Hawaii on a regular basis. The closest they do are re-positioning cruises between Australia/Seattle that stop in Hawaii.
  8. Thanks for sharing this tidbit!
  9. Even if you don't rent a cabana, the beach is less crowded
  10. I think it definitely skews towards ships that are based in North America and the more popular ships tend to get more attention.
  11. I'm drinking it as I type this and it's pretty darn good for free.
  12. Credit to @WAAAYTOOO for her wonderful explanation. You cannot eat at all 4 complimentary dining rooms, nor do you need to. Other than decor, they are the same menus. Also, 2 are for My Time Dining and 2 for traditional dining.
  13. Don't hate it, but not my favorite either. As @Jerel pointed out the other day, these names tend to grow on you over time.
  14. Not everything in the Cruise Planner is necessarily on sale as a result of this new sale. Usually it's only select items. You'd have to log in regularly to know the price difference, similar to how if you go to the Gap, they don't tell you if the sale price today is better than the price for jeans last week. I think it's simpler. I hate when I go to a store and it has a sign "Take 50% off the lowest ticketed price". No math!
  15. Back in the day, half the time I'd get my wine opened without a corkage fee. I always felt like I was making out like a bandit when that happened
  16. Welcome! You may find this blog post helpful: Royal Caribbean itinerary recommendations for first-time cruisers
  17. Pretty much everywhere in Caribbean takes US Dollars. I've never had to exchange money. Occasionally I will get change back in local currency.
