  1. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure points from your credit card will ever be available via Cruise Planner. Technically, those points come from a third-party (Bank of America), so I imagine it's like getting OBC from a travel agent...it will be on your account when you board, but not available for pre-cruise purchases. Again, I could be wrong.
  2. Ohhh, I've seen those before on land. Not sure if I've ever seen them made on RC
  3. On Anthem.... 1. Jamie's Italian 2. Wonderland 3. Chops 4. Izumi
  4. I have to agree. For the life of me I do not know why they haven't rolled back (days ago) or fixed it by now. I'm not sure I'm more surprised the system was deployed broken like this, or that management has allowed it to languish in its current state.
  5. Thanks @mworkman for the update. Glad to see Cozumel is exempt from the warning.
  6. I need to install an add-on to this board that prevents me from posting before I've had my morning coffee
  7. Glad to hear that the skipping of the port isn't a negative for you. CocoCay is lovely, even if you just walked around a little but. Enjoy Nassau (and laying around in bed some more)!
  8. Great photos! Thank you for sharing your experience.
  9. Not with non-refundable. In fact, with non-refundable you pay a penalty if you cancel. If you cancel a refundable fare, then yes, you get all your money back (including deposit)...assuming you are not past the final payment date. My advice is work with a travel agent and get the full picture of possibilities. Last thing you want to do is assume one thing, and then realize you're assumption was incorrect.
  10. The 48 hour rule is about a no questions asked price change. Beyond that, residents of US, Canada or Australia can re-price up until final payment date if there is a price drop. I think the 48 hour price match thing is more a feature they advertise to all, whereas a lot of people are unaware of the nuances of re-pricing down the line.
  11. No difference between the two. With non-refundable, you can take advantage of a price drop just like with a normal fare. You just cannot change sail date or ship with non-refundable fare.
  12. Also worth noting there are no WOWbands on Allure of the Seas.
  13. Always, always, always book with a travel agent. Using a travel agent is less about getting a better price than online (although that is always nice), and more about the level of service a good travel agent provides. They are your advocate and partner who does the footwork to make your life easier.
  14. If you live in US, Canada or Australia, you can always book and cancel up to final payment date (provided your cruise fare is a refundable one). Your friends' advice is definitely the right idea.
  15. Loving the photos! Is it alright if I share your stateroom photos on my wife's @Momsoftheseas site?
  16. Welcome! I know I'd love to read about your experiences at each of the ports you visit, especially with photos to share.
  17. Expectations is the key word. It does not have a zip line, or Broadway musical, or an AquaTheater, but it does still offer a fun getaway cruise. With older ships, it is about understanding what the ship offers and does not offer and managing your expectations.
