Cocktail Recipes on Royal Caribbean Ships
Matt replied to PG Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Thanks for sharing these! -
No clue. Royal hasn't said anything regarding its plans for upgrades or if it will just get maintenance work.

Every ship goes in for drydock at least every 5 years. Allure last had her work done in 2020, so sometime in 2025 is likely.

Welcome to the message boards! Royal has mostly gotten rid of the internet labs/cafes because nearly everyone is onboard these days with a smart phone, which performs exceptionally better than the computer terminals they had on there. In addition, wifi access is sold at a minimum of a 24 hour pass. There's not ability to buy internet access for a shorter duration. So if you're going to have 24 hour pass (or longer), better to have your phone or other device.

European Travel Plug Adapter, what to look for
Matt replied to cobra614's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I recommend (and have used) this one: https://amzn.to/3pNccdx -
There's two laughable aspects to this "article". First, the "monstrosity" quote comes from a random person on Twitter. Not a travel expert. Not a cruise expert. Just some tweet the reporter found and quoted. If I'm not mistaken, the original article was from a UK tabloid. Second, is the fact so many other even lazier reporters just copied the original article and went with it. I look forward to the many upcoming articles that will quote @smokeybandit random musings as fact of public opinion.

Mainer of the seas Aug 26 - Mah jongg players

Welcome to the message boards. Which ship and sailing? You should post this in the roll call thread for the specific ship and sailing you're going on for a better chance of finding someone. -

Two options jump out at me. Car rental or Red Coach bus. Car rental is straight forward, but you have to rent the car and have the liability with everything that comes with it. Still, it's more cost effective than an Uber ride at that distance. Red Coach is a "business bus" service that runs through Florida. I've taken it a number of times pre-pandemic and it was fine for what it is. Relatively cheap, and you can sleep or be productive (or both).

New "Feedback" Tab on RC Website

Based on Royal's earnings call, the execs seem to love the NPS. They constantly refer to how well their survey results come back. From a 2022 earnings call from Michael Bayley: -
Embarkation port> San Juan Puerto Rico?
Matt replied to Censored's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Cruises that begin in San Juan always begin across the harbor, it's just the ships that stop for the day that stop at the hotel near the Sheraton. -
I thought same thing at first, but isn't solid waste garbage and not human waste? I'm honestly not sure, but I googled "solid waste" and it sounds more like garbage.

I can confirm this was our experience as well. If you're early risers, it won't matter much. But annoying if you want to sleep in just a bit.

Passport nightmare - won’t let me rebook

Sea days: 9am - 12pm 2pm - 5pm 7pm - 10pm 10pm - late (1am? 2am?) Extra cost Port Days are same schedule as sea days, except Adventure ocean is open as long as ship is docked in port. Once ship departs, it reverts back to the sea day schedule. Yes, but only on port days and if the kids happen to be in AO at the designated lunch time,

Can Royal Caribbean IT be contacted directly?
Matt replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This sounds like an over aggressive piece of software on your computer is trying to enforce a policy to prevent you from visiting the RC site. Usually indicative of an antivirus -
Royal Caribbean's intention when they sell you a 1 device package is for 1 device to be used at a time.
