  1. We sailed out of Miami on Monday Sep 4th for a 4 day cruise to what was supposed to be Nassau, Coco Cay, and The Keys. At that time the hurricane was in the Atlantic and we were not too concerned due to the uncertainty of how it was going to behave in the coming days. Besides, we were confident the captain and RC's meteorologists were watching the storm closely, and we would just change itinerary if needed. On Tuesday Sep 5th we docked in Nassau and spent the day at Atlantis. We got the package on RC's website and it was a better experience than we were expecting! The slides, pools, and

  2. From the Irma update on the RCCL homepage - "Given Hurricane Irma's impact to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Key West, we will be working on alternative ports for future sailings until these islands have fully recovered. 3. We were told by the captain before we got to Skagway that we would have to tender since the pier was not safe for pedestrian traffic. We had to board the life boats to get to the pier. I took a bunch of photos to post but since we have non-voom, I can't get one picture to upload. I will add them when I get home. I found out that the life boats do work!

  4. I recommend Bernard's Tours in St. Maarten. Of course I'm not sure of the condition of the island at the time of your sailing. http://www.bernardstours.com/

  5. I think I either read or heard that the docks at St. Maarten were destroyed during the hurricane, is that true? It has to be a catch 22 situation for the islands, they need tourist for income but they won't be able to support any for a while.

  6. Menu price is $12.50. Wished I remembered to take pictures of it. But the burger from Jonhnny Rocket was also very good for $2.50, killer with the extra patty bringing it up to $4 (note they use 1/3 pound patties). But those fries on the burger from Michael's are awsome. Think you can just order those fries for $5.
