  1. Past hour
  2. Excellent. I pair it with the mushroom soup or lobster bisque.
  3. Yes! After having done a few UDP, we quickly realized that most specialty dining venues, if not all, have the same menu every day only varying options between lunch and dinner. I don't want to be pigeon holed into sticking to specialty dining only. So, as of this year, we do our top 3 favorites and get the 3 night package. If we want to go to another specialty dining, we just pay for that ala carte. If we did a 10 night or more, maybe the UDP would be okay. Lastly, the lunch options are sometimes way more attractive if the menu items that you would get at dinner are available at lunch. In fact, we do not feel it necessary to go to Chops or Jamie's Italian again for dinner especially since we really enjoy the burgers at both venues for lunch. So much cheaper and still get the same experience for our tastes.
  4. That's my mom's favorite!
  5. snorkeling, if you have your own gear you dont need anything. if you dont and you do the excursion there is a shack in the snorkeling area and you show up there and they'll give you the equipment and a brief safety review.
  6. @OCSC Mike good to hear you are on the mend. Nothing worse than a bad headache on embarkation day. It's happened to me too. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of the day, not enough water, too many drinks, and for me, the artificial scents in rideshares can set off the headache for me.
  7. I thought some of the ships had them at one time. I remember one of the ships I was on had one, but it was never working
  8. Today
  9. Has anyone been on this tour? Thoughts? Was there a lot of waiting around in the sun?
  10. How is the crispy goat cheese salad?
  11. Precisely what the rest of us cheese-loathers do !
  12. Thanks, I missed trying 1-2 drinks but that was my favorite frozen one from last time.
  13. Salmon & onion omelet from Solarium Bistro which starting to fill up. They put cheese in my wife’s “plain” omelet but quickly made her a new one when she took it back. I do like how Royal is usually good about rectifying small mistakes whenever possible. I’ll start saying “no cheese” after “plain” like I’m used to doing for my wife’s burgers that often wind up with cheese. After that we popped into the CL to ask for aqua show reservations. He said come back after 7pm for a special pass. No biggie, we could go standby, but might as well get reservations. No idea what a special pass is. Then we stopped in WJ for my fruit bread & some pastries from the kids section. Updated set up with food & my wife’s telescopic travel fan.
  14. Oh man, I sail on Freedom Sep 6th. I’ll be traveling south via TriRail and use Lyft to the terminal. Will I have trouble getting a ride share? Also trying to find a cruise schedule site that shows which terminal not just the date and pax capacity.
  15. That looks like the suites lounge at Terminal G.
  16. Same with us on Explorer in March. 9 ships in port. I’ve sworn off cruises out of Miami.
  17. Boooo.... 1. Feeling bad last night. So sorry to hear it but it sounds like you are bouncing back. Sorry you missed the AT show. Take it slow. I'll betcha the Concierge will get you into the show tonite ! 2. No hippos. They are sooo cute. Maybe the other couple will leave early and you will be able to migrate. Enjoy your day.
  18. I like the painchiller. Enjoy your time on that awesome ship!
  19. As early as you want. 9am-9:30am. There will already be a line started for terminal entry. The boarding times are bogus.
  20. Except during spring break. This is not a breeze in March.
  21. i think you should be good especially if you’re doing self assist!! and port of miami to miami airport is a breeze!!
  22. Some Nassau beach club pics. I haven’t followed too closely since I’m not paying those prices but looks like progress. Actual buildings and at least one pool. I’m too lazy to walk around to take pics of the rest.
  23. Following along silently. I'm am always so excited for you on your cruises as you can feel your excitement. So sorry you felt lousy last night and had to cut the night short. That really sucks and such a disappointment. Glad you slept it off and feeling well today. For the treat selection above....I recently discovered those danishes. They don't look like anything special but you take one bit and yum. So good! The custard is nice and sweet, the fruit perfect, and the danish itself the right sweetness (and messiness as it breaks away). Enjoy your day today in solatium. It's fun to follow along (and even better from your side).
  24. Wife’s cabin snacks (now in a ziploc). Our setup for the day. When my wife got up here she said there were only two people in the entire Solarium… and they chose our spot by the hippos. So we’re in the same spot on the other side. No hippos, just rocks. So far it’s still fairly cool in here. May get warmer once we’re docked and it’s later in the day but definitely seems like they have the air going stronger than last month. Pretty big deal since these enclosed Solariums on Wonder/Utopia are virtually greenhouses. Clearly they really can be climate controlled as long as the a/c is cranked up.
  25. Absolutely stoked for this cruise on Odyssey!
  26. Roll call for our cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale! I'm sailing with Autism on the Seas. Looking forward to all the fun to be had onboard.
