  3. Who else is sailing the week after July 4th? Hoping for a great cruise, our first one out of California.
  4. Today
  5. I got the new kind. I actually love the newer ones. To me they look nicer than just the clear kind.
  6. I was wondering about the waterslide rules on thrill island. I saw that they do not allow jewelry or loose items. Are goggles allowed? What about rashguards? Any thing else to be aware of?
  7. I did the underground river one and HIGHLY recommend it!! Very fun and very safe. The employees at the site were simply amazing
  8. You'll have a card in your room that gets you started and from there it's self-explanatory.
  9. It’s practically a continuous cycle of shuttles. You won’t wait more than a few minutes for one to show up, if you wait at all
  10. i am excited to know which block you got!!! i am calling shenanigans already
  11. I purchased the internet package with me having 3 devices (because it was cheaper than the 3 of us each having one device) how am I notified what the password and all that is? Do I have to wait in the long guest services line? Do they notify me somehow?
  12. Okay so a final wrap up. I still love Freedom, she is my favorite big, little ship. I would sail her as a 4 night or higher in a heartbeat.......I will stay away from the 3-nighters. With the exception of the one casino host, I believe she has some of the best crew around. I was disappointed in the new slot machines, but I have no control over that. On deck two and three we had stayed in the new rooms put in after the amp and I loved them. They had USB ports, routers, extra storage and nicer bathrooms. The last room, and my brother's new room on the first leg, were of the older kind and left quite a bit to be desired. I am on the fence about sailing in May again, it was too hot for me. I like 80s and those 90s felt close to 100s to me. Doing a B2B2B on a smaller class of ship leaves a lot to be desired on the food front. Traditional dining has hotter food but 8:30 is way too late and 5:30 too early. MTD seems to suffer in food quality. I went to the loyalty ambassador on day two of my first cruise and requested my 210+ block that I should have received the first day of my Jan Allure sailing. By the time I got home on Friday, my block was delivered. I will open it soon and see if it is the new one or old one. As I stated my mother refused to use her casino voucher for an actual cruise. They can only be combined if earned on the same sailing, so now it just has a money off value. Which she is of course refusing to use. She wasted my time and money, so she won't be cruising for a while. Thank you for following along. My next adventure will be Alaska on Quantum in September.......with two vintages (my mom's bff and her bff) and not my mother........and possibly my bff and his mother if they pay their cruise off next month.
  13. I can’t say about Navigator, but we were on Symphony this month. CP drinks were not sweetened unless you ask for a pump or used the packets. We’ll be on Wonder and will see before asking for sugar.
  14. I find it comical that there is still nothing out on these villas. Keeping the tread alive in the event someone visits the resort and can report back with pics
  15. Read/seen this story on multiple media outlets. So tired of suggestion/implication the cruise line (whoever it may be) is the villain. Rank amateur, but reading the cruise ticket contract answers a lot of questions; sorta like learning about travel advisories issued by the US State Department. Just think of all those folks in Turks & Caicos with 'bullet problems'. Sure, it seems extreme, but it's THEIR laws and as a guest in any of these nations, I'll abide by them.
  16. i love that you’re in a port every single day!!! that makes for nice sailing at night and hopefully not too much motion, either. congrats on winning your royal up bid!!! these are the things i live for
  17. When I was there they ran on demand. Once one was full, it would leave, then the next one would fill up
  18. We've always been no worse than a couple tables from the window when in a suite. Probably more than 50% of the time at the window. We do request a table by ourselves via the concierge, but never specify location. But it always ends up on the sides anyway (seems to be the same side of the ship as our cabin). In March we were on deck 5.
  19. If you are planning to get a hotel before the trip, check now. There is a Taylor swift concert that weekend and rooms are booked and overpriced.
  20. I heard some people talking today that they were walking around the ship offering it for 50% off a few hours before dinner. Obviously just word of mouth but wouldn’t be surprised, they’ve been offering speciality dining at all 5 meals we have had so far this sailing.
  21. Can't beat perks with Celebrity with status match. Lately Celebrity sailings have been cheaper. On Celebrity sailing now and got Concierge class cheaper than Royal for a basic balcony. Celebrity does have some unique itineraries.
  22. I have a feeling I will really like X. The main problem will be no wave (Hubby), and no C&A points
  23. Yesterday
  24. @smokeybandit question for you, please? I believe you have sailed Adventure recently in a suite. Where did they assign you in the MDR? I was going to request a table just for us I'm thinking about asking for deck 5 because we never dined up there before. Part of me wants to leave it to chance, thoughts? I just don't want to be in the middle of the dining room as the volume of everything is sometimes uncomfortable. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts.
  25. Biscotti alone would make my wife want to try Celebrity, lol.
  26. Hi- we are Bob and Theresa from Virginia. Looking forward to cruise and finding out the replacement for Labadee.
  27. Yes, I cannot say for certain regarding the excursions you are considering, but some take a tender to to the busses so you can bypass the cable car up into Fira, but I do believe you may need to take the cable car down, which was the longest line. I would call during the day, Monday through Friday when you are more likely to connect with a knowledgeable agent and ask for details. How long are you in port/when is the ship scheduled to depart? Are there any available excursions labeled as accessible? These are designed to minimize long walks and prolonged standing and may be a good option.
