poider Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 Out of curiosity, What is everybody's favorite cocktail from a Royal Caribbean Cruise? Mine is the Singapore Sling Peter Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 I have a specialty drink that I concocted. It is a pina colada made with amaretto instead of rum. It is SOOOO good. AGSLC5 1 Quote
Matt Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Besides the labadoozie? I tried a blue ed on Quantum and loved it Quote
Naas Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 I weirdly enjoyed the "Hepburn" that is found in the specialty restaurant, CHIC onboard Quantum (and I'm assuming Anthem as well). I enjoyed it so much I took a picture of it so I could try to replicate it when I got home. lol Naas and Galveston Steve 2 Quote
Michael Vitale Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 I went with the drink of the day until someone suggested a frozen mojito. That thing was pretty darn tasty. Well, those 27 of them. Quote
monctonguy Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 Haha....frozen mojito's are good..one of my favs when sitting outside drinking!! Usually one of the first drink once on board. And yes, I had lost track how many of those I have had each cruise. The pineapple mojito they make in the boleros lounge is pretty good as well. Quote
Matt Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 What's a blue ed? Of the people on our group cruise on Quantum recommended it. It's something with blue curacao in it and tasted wonderful! Jamie and DocLC 2 Quote
Jamie Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Of the people on our group cruise on Quantum recommended it. It's something with blue curacao in it and tasted wonderful! It's 1 oz each of blue curacao, southern comfort, and amaretto. Fill 16 oz glass with ice, add liquor, fill with sour, and enjoy! DocLC and Matt 2 Quote

mike Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Royal really should, if they haven't already, put out a recipee book with just their alcoholic drink recipes. I'd love to know exactly which specifics they use in drinks that can vary some such as the mai tai. Matt 1 Quote
Jerel Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Royal really should, if they haven't already, put out a recipee book with just their alcoholic drink recipes. I'd love to know exactly which specifics they use in drinks that can vary some such as the mai tai. Matt just posted 7 drink of the day recipes on the blog, looks like good ideas are contagious. Last week I bought all the ingredients for a labadoozie, cost me 80 bucks :), oh well, I have enough to last me awhile. I had to make a couple of substitutes though, couldnt find Papaya concentrate so I got Mango, and i used Pineapple juice instead of concentrate, and I used a Cococay cup instead of a Labadee one. I guess that makes it a Coco-loco (same recepie). I think ill try a Blue Ed next, making drinks with a blender is fun. Matt 1 Quote

DocLC Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 You've all just convinced me to take another cruise and apply the money from all the drink ingredients to the costs of the cruise. :) Matt 1 Quote
NorCalJL Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 Besides the labadoozie? I tried a blue ed on Quantum and loved it Can I order the labadoozie on the ship or is it only offered on Labadee? You've really sold me on this drink from your podcasts. :D Quote

You've really sold me on this drink from your podcasts. :D My work here is done! You should be able to order it from the bar. I've done it before although it tastes JUST a little better on Labadee. DocLC Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I've yet to have the pleasure of visiting Labadee, but I was able to order a Labadoozie on the Jewel and I plan on attempting to order one next week on the Brilliance out of England. Quote
