FionaMG Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 I just took advantage of this for the first time on my very recent Anthem cruise. I did what @WAAAYTOOO suggested and just wrote on the bag "D+ No Charge" (worked great, so thanks for the tip ). However, when it came back I noticed that it had the number of pieces written on the outside so I'm just wondering if I should actually have filled in the form with the details of what was in the bag? Or does it not matter? To be fair, I didn't notice anything missing. Quote
smokeybandit Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 As far as I can tell, they write the number of pieces as sort of a self-audit to prove what they actually had to wash. We do fill out that form though for our own sanity. FionaMG 1 Quote
Riley Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 We fill in the form ourselves and I take a quick photo of the form and the folded laundry before it goes in (yes, I fold the dirty laundry... you can get a LOT more in that way) as documentation of what was sent. It's rare but lost items do happen; we were able to show the cabin attendant what we were missing and she tracked the items down. Pattycruise, FionaMG and SplashOfWater 2 1 Quote

I think if you don't write the number of items yourself, they will on the way back just as a check/proof of what was washed. FionaMG 1 Quote

D+ free bag is any day. I think the specific day is for the wash and fold special you pay for. SplashOfWater 1 Quote

I don't know if there was. If there was I was ahead of it. We had been travelling for 3 days before our cruise so by day 4 of the cruise I needed to get it done. I just used the bag that was in the wardrobe and left it on the bed when we went to breakfast. It was returned the following evening. SplashOfWater 1 Quote

Yes, we also fill out the form and note the number of items, as well. @FionaMG, my apologies for leaving that part out ! FionaMG 1 Quote

We were told by our steward early in our D+ days the free bag was only on the wash and fold day, but have found that not to be correct. FionaMG and SplashOfWater 1 1 Quote

I think there was a brief time, a while back, when they had a “laundry day” but I haven’t heard of that in a very long time. smokeybandit 1 Quote
JasonOasis Posted September 17 Report Posted September 17 What my husband and I were told by our stateroom attendant was on a 7 night cruise we had to have our D+ free laundry bag sent out by day 5. We've always filled out the form and we've never had an issue with any of our items not being returned. WAAAYTOOO, SplashOfWater and FionaMG 3 Quote
smokeybandit Posted September 17 Report Posted September 17 I would want it in by day 5 anyway just to ensure you get it back in time. FionaMG, JasonOasis, WAAAYTOOO and 1 other 4 Quote
