Passport required in alaska cruise?

Recommended Posts

I have both and I always travel with both.

I'll often use the card to check in and to show at the port.  The card is more durable and by using the card I can keep the passport book stored away in a safe place.  However I always have the book with me just in case.

A few years ago I had to leave a cruise early when a family member passed away.  Without the passport book I would have had to finish the cruise to get home.

Exact same process here; I really like having the card, it’s new for me since my last renewal.
