Diamond Free internet

It will be on the app when you get onboard. You click on the person and scroll down to the internet. When you select it there will be a menu on signing in (name, room number) and then you can select the Voom and it will show you a discount of the days you are eligible for. Select that and you will have it for 24 hours at a time. If you want a specific day be sure to only use it then. There is no option to pick the day you want.

Thank you. Will I have the option to purchase the remaining days after my free day is used?  Is there a discount on the remaining days for Diamond members ?   Would you recommend doing it this way as opposed to buying the package in advance?

It has been my experience that it is less e pensive to buy the package in advance than using your one free day onboard and then purchasing your package onboard.

You don't get an actual "free day" but a dollar amount credit equal to the price of a free day. You can use that credit to purchase more than one day if you want. And yes after you use that credit, you can still buy more.

I would say it depends on your cruise length. If it is 5 nights or more using the diamond day isn't really worth it. But if is like 4 nights or less it will come out a little cheaper than purchasing beforehand.  I also want to point out if you are prime in the casino they offer a 30% discount. So I was using my diamond day and then getting my prime discount.  My cruise in April was the last as diamond and I paid $50 to have internet for 4nights. Also keep in mind it's based on onboard prices which are 29.99 a day.

Thank you. It is a short three day cruise. I think the package I have reserved right now is $95.87 for  two devices for the length of the cruise. My wife and I are both Diamond so we will each get a one day credit.  Do you think the amount that I am paying for two devices is better than taking the one day credit?

Okay so if I am correct, you are pay $16/day each of internet if you buy through cruise planner now. Internet on board is $29.99, you each get a day so paying 2 days at the rate for 2 devices is 119.96, but I believe it's a 10% discount if you do the two devices, so that's like $108. I think you might be better off getting it beforehand.

In June on Navigator it was $24.99 per day for a one device full voyage plan.  The 24 hour pass rate was $27.99.

On day one ships don't leave port until around 4pm then there is dinner and first night festivities.  It's kind of wasteful paying for Voom on day one since you don't even get on the ship until noon-ish and for most cruisers their cell phone still works in port on day one.  If you can live without internet for the evening on night one, use a Diamond free day for day 2 then buy the full voyage plan on day 3 at that point it is prorated for the days remaining.  On a 7 night cruise that would be 4 remaining days X $24.99 = $99.96.

Pre purchasing @ $16.99 for a 7 night cruise is $118.93 so there is a potential savings of $18.67.

However if day 2 or 3 is a port day and your cell phone has coverage or if you can find enough wifi on land to satisfy your needs then you could potentially wait another day to purchase an onboard full voyage plan for the remaining days yielding additional savings.  On day 4 there are 3 days remaining so 3 x $24.99 = $74.97 and so on.

If you need to be connected 24 x 7 on all days this approach won't work.
