Levi is good
I tried to search this question online and on the board, can Discover card be used on the ships? I know you can pay for a cruise with it.

You use your Sea Pass to charge everything back to your room's account (or your individual account if you setup each person in the room separately). Your account has a credit card on file which is charged at the end of the trip or each time a certain dollar threshold has been crossed. (You could also put cash on your account which must be replenished when exhausted or you won't be able to charge more.) Levi is good
Thank you Atlantix2000 and OCSC Mike, it's been a while since I've been on a ship, and first time with adult kids where them paying for their own things even factored into it all. I appreciate the help.
Christiancowgirl
This may be an odd question, how much do you think you would need to have available. Or what is a typical hill upon check out. I understand that everyone is different and it depends upon your soending.

My bill at the end of my cruises has always almost always been between $0-100 (usually under $50). I pre-purchase most things, and pre-pay my gratuities. The one exception to that was the one time I bought a necklace in one of the jewelry stores. Stupid champagne. Because everyone is different, as you correctly mentioned, that’s really impossible to answer. We cruise pretty frugally and do most of our spending pre-cruise (internet, specialty restaurants, etc.) So our typical final bill is almost nothing. My advice is to think about what you, personally, might spend $ on once onboard & make a rough budget. Food or drink you haven’t pre-booked? Shopping? Charge casino to your room? Bingo? I spend so little onboard that I’m probably forgetting stuff but you get the idea. Christiancowgirl
smokeybandit
The regulars here probably aren't a good representative sample of end of week charges. On board spending is way up since the restart, but most people here tend not to have a big bill at the end. I think I heard that most people spend half of what they paid for their cruise on board. Considering on most sailings about 50% of the cruisers are first timers, I'm guessing it's most of them spending the most.
