Archchic
Hi All. I'm interested in hearing the creative or unusual ways you've taken advantage of the UDP. We bought it for the first time for our upcoming transatlantic cruise on Symphony. Tons of sea days for specialty lunches! I just listened to a Q&A with Matt where he mentioned stopping in Izumi and grabbing some sushi to go around 5ish, then going to a different restaurant for dinner later than evening. That's the kind of ingenuity about which I'm interested in hearing! Thanks in advance.
AshleyDillo
Johnny Rockets and Playmakers are good to go options. The food travels well and you don't need reservations. I ordered nachos from Playmakers right before an aquatheater show and took them with me to watch the show. When I do sushi to-go on the Oasis class ships I always make sure to make a reservation so the kitchen can be prepared. Usually I will make it the first reservation time slot and I'm in and out of there quickly. I also made a late reservation for Chops one evening with the intentions of asking for a filet to go. They tried to talk me into dining in, but I just stuck with my guns and they did immediately bring me my order with a room service lid on the plate. I was only ordering the steak, so it wasn't like I was asking for a three course meal to go and I had a reservation so no extra stress on squeezing me in. I enjoyed that steak late at night after the casino FireFishII, deButler and Ampurp85 2

Jill
I have to admit that we have never made full use of UDP. We have only ever used it for dinners. Sea days are always on the pool deck so no specialty lunch. However I think I may have to re-think the whole nachos at the aqua theater lol. Now that’s a game changer! We just aren’t big food people but prefer a more “restaurant” feel versus MDR. I can’t imagine eating breakfast, lunch and dinner in the same day with the portions served on the ship. Pretty sure they’re making money off us!
