Naples - last stop -ship should have carried on

Ship docked at Naples total dump of a city , streets and buildings filthy  , took train to Pompeii Ooft 

I will be honest not really in to archeology but thought worth a wander lasted 30 mins   Everything looked same ,  

 

a few heads up if coming on this trip.  Do AMALFI or Capri or stay on ship.

Sorry it wasn't your cup of tea.

If you had been able to stick it out and get away from some of the rough edges, there are some amazing things to see and do in Naples, as well as an amazing local food scene.

It helps to know a little history of the archaeological place you'll be visiting. 

In my case I took a Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Positano and Pompeii  tour and it was great!

Having a knowledgeable tour guide changes the Pompeii visit a lot. Too bad you couldn't enjoy your visit.

Capri is beautiful but way overpriced, it would have been either a boat tour or just walking. I am not really into archeology, but I enjoyed Pompeii, since everything was turned to ash, I would say yes it all looks the same. But to me it was the story that made it worthwhile.
