IRMO12HD Posted November 6, 2021 Report Posted November 6, 2021 (edited) Has anyone had direct experience with using an alternative form of vaccination proof? For example, in Washington state, our DOH has a vaccination certificate that lists the vaccination dates and batch numbers on it (along with the person's name, of course). My daughter can't find her card, but has the WA Vax Certificate. Both of her vaccinations were at county-run vaccination sites (two different counties), so there's no clear-cut source for a new (replacement) card. I have read the FAQ on "What Documents Are Accepted . . ." -- my concern is that it specifies that you have to have the name of the "the administering physical or medical services provider," but the WA Certificate doesn't show that (it does show all of the other information required, though). BrianB Posted November 7, 2021 Report Posted November 7, 2021 No direct experience…maybe someone who has can comment…but, I would recommend emailing RC and include a copy of the paperwork. If they respond it is acceptable, print the response and bring it with you. IRMO12HD 1 Quote

IRMO12HD Posted November 11, 2021 Author Report Posted November 11, 2021 Well, I've emailed RCL -- twice -- and no response yet -- except for the "We got your email and you're really important to us and we'll get back to you soon" auto-email. I reached out to them on Twitter, but don't have much hope of hearing from them via that route either. I've called, too, and the rep said that the state Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination "should" be good enough. I've read and re-read and re-re-read their documentation requirement and am no closer to a warm and fuzzy feeling. So, please, please RCBLog Family, you're my hope! Please let me know if you've experienced, or know of someone who experienced using something other than the CDC Card to meet the Proof of Vaccination requirement. Quote
IRMO12HD Posted November 11, 2021 Author Report Posted November 11, 2021 Update #1: Per RCL Twitter, the state Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination will be accepted. I still want to see if there's any empirical data to support that, and hope that someone out there in the RCLBlogverse can help me. Dlove707 1 Quote
PurdueFlyer Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 If Twitter says its good, I would agree that you're good. I've done 3 cruises so far with an electronic screenshot from my care.CVS account. nobody blinks and nobody has asked for the original paper CDC copy. now, it does say "CVS pharmacy" at the bottom, but the information is all in one paragraph. it doesn't say "name of administering medical provider: CVS Pharmacy" like a line-item list. just "CVS Pharmacy". so there's some level of inferencing here, but I can't be the only American who has been on a cruise so far that got the jab at a CVS. (from my card) 1st dose PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE (EUA), Lot #EN6199, 03/11/21, Dose 1, CVS Pharmacy 2nd dose PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE (EUA), Lot #ER8732, 04/13/21, Dose 2, CVS Pharmacy IRMO12HD 1 Quote

KJones Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 I would recommend taking a screenshot of your twitter exchange, just in case there's an issue at check-in. IRMO12HD and fireclan 2 Quote
dswallow Posted November 12, 2021 Report Posted November 12, 2021 Upload your proof of vaccination on the Royal App under check-in; they're validating those so you'll get some actual feedback if something is acceptable or not before you get to the terminal. IRMO12HD, Okgladgal and BrianB 3 Quote

IRMO12HD Posted November 21, 2021 Author Report Posted November 21, 2021 An update of sorts . . . We're still working on replacing the CDC vaccination card through our local County Health Department, and we're hopeful that that will work out. In the meantime, I uploaded her Vaccination Report from her doctor's office in Check In (I had previously uploaded the WA Certificate) -- and after about three days, that now shows up as verified with the happy green checkmark! I'm hopeful that between the picture of her old vaccination card, the WA Certificate of Vaccination, and the Vaccination Report, she'll be fine. However, we'll continue to pursue the card replacement route as well. Quote
