Matt
Do they do the WOW cards anymore? I didn't see any on my last two cruises... We got a couple when we went on Navigator in February
Marc
We were given a couple on our Independence of the Seas cruise last month when we checked in. We were told onboard that we could even get extras from Guest Services, but we didn't need any others. We ended up only giving one out. Tylor
I was given 2 when we boarded Oasis in 2012. However, the crew were less than wowed when I gave them out. Not sure how effective they are. I find it more of a gimmick.
rekkie
We werent given them and basically no one on our cruise was. We had to request them from the Loyalty staff
Bryce G.
I didn't see any on my Radiance OTS sailing in Aug. 13 or Majesty OTS in Dec. 13. Good to know that you can request.

Most gave a resounding "yes." And were very thankful/grateful when I did...

In terms of their career, it's the best thing you can do for a crew member michelle

WOW cards go on their file with Royal Caribbean. In terms of their career, it's the best thing you can do for a crew member While the idea is good, it is odd they only give you 2 cards. And I understand the point, but at the end of the year, you've got staff that has piles of cards, and those that don't. Are they letting go the ones that don't score high? Matt
Are they letting go the ones that don't score high? No, I don't think that's the case. The WOW cards are more like awards in the military, the more you have, the faster/easier you are promoted.
Sandya
Ok, no idea what a WOW card is .... Can someone explain ?
Shawn
A wow card is a card that you can fill out with the crew member's name and give them or drop off at Guest Services to recognize them for service that "wowed" you. We were given two on Allure a few weeks ago.

Don
I received a big wad of them (6 or 8) on my Apr 5-12, 2014 Oasis cruise... Thats great! Always rewarding to see the appreciation of recognition!
bcarney
Thats great! Always rewarding to see the appreciation of recognition! (Facepalm!) Hah hah hah! Now that I re-read that I can understand how it could be viewed that way. I think the only WOW cards I earned were from my kids, and perhaps the accountants at RCI. :)

Dirk
Just back from our transatlantic crossing on board of the Serenade and we were given a couple of WOW-cards. Matt
PASiggy
It has been hit or miss with me getting them. I usually ask at check in if they fail to give me one. I just got back from Vision and in Key West we disembarked on deck 1 (crew deck) and went through the hall to get off and there were photos of crew members receiving awards (quarterly awards, employee of the month etc.) and one was for receiving the most WoW recognition for the period. Not sure what all they get but some of the awards, I don't remember which, specified a monetary award.
Matt
It has been hit or miss with me getting them. Same here. I don't ask for them but if I am given them (like on my Navigator cruise this year), I use them.
