Galveston Steve Posted December 14, 2020 Report Posted December 14, 2020 Just got an email about our April 2022 Reflection cruise: ”...routine maintenance dry docks have been scheduled in early 2022 for Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Reflection. Unfortunately, the time needed to complete all maintenance will require cancellation of your sailing.” “From now through December 28, you have the option to rebook on any other Celebrity Cruise in 2022 at prevailing rates. If you choose to rebook, you will also receive an onboard credit of $200 per inside, ocean view, standard veranda, Infinite VerandaSM, AquaClass® or Concierge Class stateroom; or $400 for The Retreat®. You must rebook a sailing of the same length as your original booking and in the same stateroom category to qualify.” This was originally booked as a group rate, so that may affect our offer of compensation. rjweber3 and WAAAYTOOO 1 1 Quote
JLMoran Posted December 14, 2020 Report Posted December 14, 2020 That's very odd that they're saying Millennium is due for a routine dry dock. She was the first M-class ship to undergo the Revolutionization refurb in 2019 (want to say January of '19 but not 100% sure on that), and she was in dry dock. Wouldn't a routine maintenance job have been done during that same dry dock? I'm wondering if they meant Constellation and Reflection, neither of which got their Revolutionization refurbs before the pandemic put everything in lockdown. Galveston Steve 1 Quote
twangster Posted December 14, 2020 Report Posted December 14, 2020 Millie is old. It's her age. Dry dock every 2 1/2 years now. Galveston Steve and JLMoran 2 Quote

Yes went through Revolution - we sailed post refurb and found several areas still needed work. The refurb converted Michaels to a Retreat lounge, but still a lot of "M" decor remaining in the public areas - like the premium restaurants. JLMoran 1 Quote
Galveston Steve Posted December 19, 2020 Author Report Posted December 19, 2020 Today Celebrity provided this additional information... "As we shared, your sailing will need to be cancelled, however, we are reaching back out today to provide additional details regarding the reason for cancellation. To clarify, the Celebrity Millennium is scheduled for dry dock in 2022, however the Celebrity Reflection sailings of 4/16/22 and 4/23/22 will needed to be cancelled in order to facilitate a smooth transition from the Caribbean season to our Summer sailings in Europe." As a footnote, Reflection is the newest of the "S" class so its the last to go through Revolution upgrade. JLMoran and Galveston Steve 2 Quote
