cadu43
It sounds kind of rude but I read elsewhere that having the key enables one to go to the front of any line for activities. Has anyone heard of this or actually did this without problems?
twangster
Welcome to the message boards. The Key does not allow you to move to the front of all lines. The Key does provide priority at specific events such as on boarding day in the terminal or at the times listed for specific activities such as FlowRiders, Zip Line and Rock Wall. These times are set aside for guests with the Key. It can also provide a designated seating area in some theaters that is set aside but you have to get inside the theater like everyone else to reach the reserved seating area. Don't confuse that with "if there is a line, the Key allows you to go to the front". That is not the case. mdgwow, 4ensic, GrandmaAirplane and 2 others
JohnK6404
Hi @cadu43! Regarding activities... you cannot skip to the front of the line with the Key. However, you will get a printed schedule in your cabin on embarkation day which will list the exclusive times reserved for Key members. On an Oasis class ship (Allure as an example), as @twangster mentioned, Key members (as a group) had a single one hour reserved session for the Zipline, Flowrider and rock climbing wall scheduled (one session scheduled for each activity for the entire cruise). For that one hour, you could go on as many times as you like while only sharing with other Key members. Unless it has changed ("line skipping benefit"), and my Key experience goes back to May, it can only potentially give you the ability to be escorted to the front of the line at the gangway for priority departure at ports of call. Sometimes, you will get a Key priority departure flyer in your cabin the night before telling you where to go and at what time to meet in order to be escorted off the ship earlier than everyone else (maybe 15-30 minutes earlier). However, when we were in Labadee, they did not give us an earlier time (and we wanted one so we could grab our cabana of choice at Nellie's Beach since they are not assigned). We went down to guest services to inquire and they just told us to go down to the gangway and let the crew member know we have the Key (show your SeaPass with the Key logo) and they would escort us to the front of the line. In our case, we got there early and we were the second group in line so it was not necessary.

KBugNC
We were on Ovation in September and we were able to "go to the front of the line' for the bumper cars. We did get to go ahead of people but there was a line just for Key members. They did have "just for Key" times for other activities. We were not able to use the Key for roller skating to go to the front of the line.

That will start when RC realizes there is a market for it and they can charge for it! RC Fast Pass. Coming soon to a ship near you!
