JerseyJoe
Do we really need to bring a passport AND a birth certificate as identification? As difficult as it is to get a passport (and the fact that you need to provide a birth certificate in order to get one), I would think that would be enough. I just don't like having to worry about birth certificates being lost or damaged during the trip, because it is such a hassle getting a replacement. tiny260
Passport only is my recommendation. No need for both. JennyB and JerseyJoe 1
WAAAYTOOO
No, if you have a passport you do not need a birth certificate. I have never taken a birth certificate for identification. If you do NOT have a passport then you will need a certified, raised stamp copy of your BC. tiny260, JerseyJoe and JennyB 2
JerseyJoe
Oh, great, thanks. I was reading elsewhere that said we needed both. We all have valid passport books. Hoski
packercruising
Just your passport and one other form of ID. Most people use their drivers license. JennyB

What about for children? Do we need birth certificates for them if they don't have drivers licenses?

As soon as I posted that, I got to wondering when we have ever had to have another form of ID in addition to the passport, and could not think of one. So forget that. I haven't had any coffee yet. Have a terrific time! JerseyJoe

You can get a passport for kids. Each of mine has one.

I was replying to the comment about needing a passport AND another form of ID, which was later retracted. packercruising
