I just booked the 2020 Allure TA on board RH today -14 night cruise $100/ person deposit. Otherwise it's $450/person.
 

It will end in Sydney as the passengers have been told there is no change to the current itinerary.

I did this in the other direction and loved it. I went Sydney to Honolulu to Vancouver to Seattle in April/May 2014. A B2B2B that was a total of 36 days.

Sounds normal for the new RCI that is not at all interested in CS only interested in their bottom line.

Not really only a guest book for the final voyage. The Internet is super slow. However the food is the best of any RCI ship that I've sailed one.

Yes, I took the cruise ship shuttle to the town and then took the Ferry Boat and the "Le Petit Train" It was a good day.

Hertz, Budget and Avis all have shuttles to their port rental locations. Alamo & Enterprise have a Bus to their airport location

Don't forget that most of the newer "flat screen" tv sets have a USB plug in the back.  We have successfully used it to recharge necessary items.

I have also read these threads on CC and one of them, in particular, is from one of the few sources on CC that I trust and respect.
 
I am an engineer but not an electrical engineer so I can't say that I understand the physics...but if what they are saying is true (and, as I said, in one case I tend to believe them) then you want a multi-plug unit with a circuit breaker mechanism as opposed to a surge protector.  Apparently there is something about a surge protector, on a SHIP, that can cause the unit to overheat and even, in rare cases, catch fire.
 
So...I intend to purchase one of the specific products that this person has recommended.  I haven't yet done my research to try and find them but once I do I will see if I can share that information here.  I have not been too successful with getting links to post to this site...just like I cannot get my "quote" function to work even when trying multiple browsers.  I'm sure it's just me....
 
Bottom line...if spending $25 (or less, apparently) can reduce the risk of fire on a ship...I'm all about it.  If not, I have another multi-plug device.  Big deal.

Hi folks I"m Jim From Jensen Beach, FL, I Have over 900 days at sea with 1/2 of them with RCI. I am a long time poster on Cruise Critic and a bit unhappy with the present climate over there. I'm headed off to Dubai next week to the last cruise of the Splendour and the Suez canal.
