  1. Aaaaaww..it's almost like he's 2 different people. See, even Canadians have a bad week, I guess. Sorry I got your hopes up. I thought I was going to have Hugo on my Navigator cruise, but noooooo! Oh well.
  2. @Lovetocruise2002, I think I read every page, but missed this if you talked about it. How did you like CD Mike? Hopefully you agreed with how much I liked him. Is Katy still the AM and how did you like that little bundle of energy?
  3. I may have to stop looking at your blog. I didn't know it was possible, but it appears I'm gaining weight just from your pictures!?
  4. @Matt, Yup, definitely time for an ?Ewwwww!!!!! reaction. 5th request! ?
  5. We were in a place yesterday that put paper straws into their drinks (sodas) that were served in plastic cups! I was too tired to question them, but how weird is that?
  6. Early seating is probably "sold out" for your sailing, but hope is not lost. 1. Call Royal (or your travel agent if you used one) and get on the waitlist for early seating. When anyone cancels their cruise or changes their dining, those slots open up. 2. If that doesn't work out, go to the MDR as soon as you board the ship. Tell them what you want and there is a great chance they will accommodate you. We needed to make some changes on Symphony last May and there was a confirmation note in our cabin about 2 or 3 hours later.
  7. @Nick, just to add to this, if you made the original purchase using on board credit, that OBC will appear back in your account immediately upon cancellation and available to use for your new purchase.
  8. Nice site. Thanks. @plasticmaster I have used buyreservations.com several times (in other cities) and have never been disappointed. It usually runs $150-175 for the 1 night hotel and up to 10 days of parking. Shutlles to airports are usually free, but shuttles to cruise ports usually run $10-15 per person extra.
  9. I don't blame you for being upset about this. I'm someone who believes that principles and communication mean something. If I were you, besides the survey, this would be a time I'd email Micheal Baily 's office. ( [email protected] ) I think it would be proper in this case to let them know your C&A status and that you not only sail in suites, but that you are also a star class customer (even if not this time). The fact that 2 out of 2 crew members were of no help or just didn't know is inexcusable. You should find out the hotel director's email and copy that office. Now that I got this off MY chest, you let it go for the time being and love every minute that's left on your cruise---it will be over all too quickly. Good luck and have fun!
  10. And Captains Bounty is stated as pet friendly, so no issue there. I agree with @ellcee and everyone else--your dog is magnificent! Also love your area. Have family in MA. When he was young I used to take them to Fenway (my favorite park when I used to care about baseball) to see the Red Sox. I was never a Yankee fan, but driving to Fenway with, at that time, NY plates on the car was never fun! Couldn't convince people that I was on their side. Had to get a Sox cap to wear in the car,
  11. From the article: "The project is expected to cost up to $200 million to build and will take two and a half years to complete. Each passenger that visits Grand Cayman will be levied with a $8 per head fee." I may be off here, but didn't doing EVERYTHING on Cococay cost about $250 million including the pier AND take less than 2.5 years to complete? This will take more time and 80% of that money for just a pier? Can there be any Perfect Day features even though Carnival is involved? What am I missing?
  12. First time I've ever said this: Boo on Hubby. It's your anniversary cruise. How could he pass up the ambiance (not to mention the food and service) of 150 CP? He obviously didn't read my Symphony blog. ?
  13. @Lovetocruise2002, you are on the blog staff...I think this needs to be moved to @kittysoul's Duckies thread?
  14. Well today we got ambitious and traveled 85 miles further south than the beach above to the very edge of the state..Cape May, NJ. It's a few degrees cooler and enough breeze for folks to keep kites going. This is one of our favorite towns. Cute shops, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, hotels, etc.
  15. I can't believe it just occurred to me after all this time and I apologize if someone else brought it up and I missed it. But, with all the teasing about @twangster and @Lovetocruise2002 being bots, YOU, my friend, are the only one that has "bot" in your name AND has it copyrighted! Just sayin' ??
  16. the haha reaction doesn't cover your post---now we need a "that's hilarious" reaction!
  17. I have always bought them on line. Usually ebay is the cheapest because a lot of the vendors have free shipping, but it's also available on Amazon, Staples.com., officedepot.com etc. What I do now is buy the 16.9 ounce pump bottle and use that to refill the original 2 oz bottles so my wife and children each have their own. Just search for Clorox CLO 02174 Bleach-Free Hand Sanitizer.
  18. Barclay Bank is currently giving 60,000 bonus miles for their American Airlines Aviator card. Well worth the $99 fee, especially with the free bags and priority boarding, etc. As a matter of fact, we are considering getting a second one for DW, depending on travel plans.
  19. Some wines are very expensive as well as some premium brand liquors. I am not a big drinker either and have never gone over the limit, but there is ample opportunity to do so. FYI, what usually works out best for us is getting the refreshment package and adding a shot to the covered virgin frozen drink or mocktail.
  20. I had saved this picture a while back because it was the most unique I have ever seen. I'm sorry I don't remember who originally posted it to give them credit. Imagine walking into your cabin after a few drinks and seeing this! ? What is the best towel animal/sculpture you have gotten or seen?
