I was able to rebook our 4-person interior cabin as 2 exterior 2-person cabins today and only paid the difference, which was minimal. Now we'll have more than twice as much space, 2 bathrooms instead of 1 - and we'll ALL sleep better!

I know I'm exceedingly naughty! because I don't drink much soda I give my souvenir mug away to a child who's patent/s are traveling on a limited budget, and believe me quite a few that are.

Something similar happened to me today. I called in to pre-pay our gratuities. The phone rep mentioned that he saw a balance owed on one of our rooms for $300+. I had made some changes to our reservation a couple of days ago and paid the balance then - even had an emailed invoice showing the changes and Zero due. I told him I thought there was an error and I could even send them back the zero due invoice if they wanted. He put me on hold, came back and said they had straightened it out except for $50+. Nope, still not right. So he put me on hold again and then came back to say it was all fixed.
No idea what happened, but sure glad he happened to mention there was a balance owed showing. I think I'll print my invoices to bring with me ... just in case.

Can I book a cabin for my husband and I and put our 14 and 12 year old in a separate cabin nearby? Couldn't find age info, and since the 14 year-old is considered an "adult" when going through the booking process, I wasn't sure ...

Can you book up a level? We just did. We had an interior room for 4, booked after final payment date. Prices went down, so for a small fee, we now have 2 ocean view rooms with 2-people each. The agent on the phone had to get 2 other people to help her make it happen, but since we ultimately were actually giving them a little more money, they found a way to do it without charging any penalties. It may not get you your money BACK - but maybe you can get 'more for your money.'

We just booked a bungalow there as an Anniversary present on our cruise at the end of the month. Can't wait! Really hope our CocoCay day doesn't get cancelled. :)

It's not required that an adult be booked into each cabin as long as the kids' cabin is adjacent to the parents'.

April 30 - and you are right - it might be cool for me, but this is for my husband and kids who have been known to go into the ocean at Myrtle Beach in December, so ... lol!

It certainly doesn't hurt to ask.  My fear is, however, that any changes to your reservation now will mean that all of your rooms will be repriced at the current rate.  If the prices have fallen, great, but most likely, they have only gone up.
 
The worst that can happen is that they reprice everything and it is more than you want to pay and you keep what you have !!

Yes, any RC excursion you book is fully refundable if the ship cannot make the scheduled stop.  

They'll create a new card that doesn't having charging privileges for the second door. One card cannot be programmed for more than one door. 
Regarding wine, it's two bottles per cabin, so that means you can take up to for bottles without a corkage fee.

You will need to book your husband in one cabin and yourself in the other. However, after you check in, you can arrange who is in which cabin and get keys to match. Risk simply requires an adult to be booked into each cabin.

I might try that, but it does say in the top right corner under the price "Includes Taxes and Fees".

Perhaps go all the way through and actual place it on a courtesy hold for 24 hours. I'm wondering if some taxes and/or fees aren't being applied at the point where you're stopping.

Just search for Royal Caribbean tags. They are long and skinny. Carnival's are short and wide.

We are 45 days from embarkation. I've checked Cruise Planner several times since booking to be able to schedule activities, and always get the 'You're either too early or too late to book' message. Anybody know which it is? Did we miss the booking window because we booked too close to departure? Or has it not opened up yet?

I think the real question is not what would it cost you to buy these same items on land, but what would it cost to get 4 Rum & Cokes on the ship - that will tell you if it is a deal or no deal. 

When in doubt, call them (or your travel agent) directly ..... Their web site is too wonky for my patience.....
