Does anyone know when reservations open up? My Quantum cruise is 52 days away and it has not appeared in the Cruise Planner yet. Thanks.

With my cruise 55 days away, I am unable to reserve a place to see Starwater in the 270degrees theatre via the app. It is playing on about 8 different timeslots, however the app prompted me to call RCI direct, to make a booking. After doing so, I was advised that the show is booked out entirely. This surprises me, given the cruise is still 8 weeks away. Is this common? I sense I may not have been given accurate information by the lovely call centre worker, but thought I would check on the blog to see how quickly shows tend to book out. Thanks team!

I never pack. My wife insists on doing it.

I have a peanut allergy, and have not had an issue onboard. That said, I didn't specifically advise any staff, as I know what foods carry a high risk and just avoid them. If I'm ever in doubt, that's when I ask. As for the "May contain traces of peanuts" , I just ignore that, as it's a legal a$$-covering phrase. Even packets of peanuts have been known to have it printed on the packet ?

What an epic post! I'm glad you managed to clear immigration, I would have been hyperventilating, stressing, angsting, you name it. But all's well that ends well (for you, anyway). I must say I am surprised to hear that the Solarium was open to all and activities were free. That bodes well for my cruise in January. One more thing. How busy exactly was the pool area? I've heard that in Asia it tends to be much quieter than cruises from other parts.

Hello RCBloggers. Assistance kindly requested. I've never sailed on Quantum (or Oasis) Class. Approximately at what point before my cruise will I be able to make reservations for shows in the Theatre and/or Two70 ? I have been checking my Cruise Planner and nothing is showing as yet. The cruise sails in 79 days. I have been checking under the Onboard Activities tab, is this correct? Some further advice - how quickly do reservations generally book out? I am sailing out of Singapore if that makes a difference. I am waiting to make entertainment reservations before going ahead and booking MyTime dining times, which is currently available to book in the Cruise Planner. Thanks in advance for any help, cheers guys!

Today marks a major step forward in our island nation’s close relationship with Royal Caribbean and one that will support sustainable growth for future generations. The Ni-Vanuatu people look forward to welcoming Royal Caribbean guests from around the world to enjoy extraordinary adventures and relaxation during their Perfect Day at Lelepa.” Bayley said, “Anyone who has encountered the tremendous natural beauty of Lelepa can understand why it is the perfect setting for ‘Perfect Day.’ Our guests who travel to the South Pacific are seeking authentic adventures and genuine relaxation, and they will find both here.” Perfect Day at Lelepa will have a different look and feel from Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay. I'm sailing on Quantum in January, so let me know how it goes. This is what I have discovered in my research. all of which came to light long after I booked: - RipCord is not free - North Star is not free - The Solarium is out of bounds unless you are in a suite or Diamond-Plus. I'm sure a few other surprises await me. However, I am still looking forward to the cruise, because at the end of the day, cruising is fun, regardless of a few bugbears.

Never mind the casino, it should be banned on the pool deck! I was dismayed that there is a designated area for smoking in such a busy area of the ship. The more ostracised the smoking community becomes, the better [apologies to all smokers, nothing personal].

Non-skater from Australia here, I'll field this query. On Explorer I gave it a crack and it was fine. It feels very foreign at first but you can hug the perimeter until you find your steadiness (It will take a little while.). Once I gained confidence I started whizzing around the rink. My confidence turned into over-confidence and I took a turn way too tight, lost control and thudded onto my back, elbows and helmet. It served me right. No major damage done, shook it off, kept going. As long as you don't start thinking that you are Wayne Gretzky or Nancy Kerrigan, you will be fine. Slow and steady ?

Both my cruises have been 12 and 11 nights. Neither was long enough.
