  1. It's back now. In any event, the website would not show ANY cruises for Freedom OTS. However, it's all good now.
  2. We are booked on Freedom OTS in March 2019 (over a year away). We choose that itinerary because it goes to the ABC islands (we haven't been there) out of San Juan. Anyway, I wanted to check current prices because some friends may want to go with us and I'm unable to search for that cruise. In fact, if you filter the search by ship, Freedom OTS is not even listed as an option. Anyone know what's going on with that ship? (That being said when I log on, that reservation is still listed)
  3. I just returned from Oasis on July 2nd and all I know is that by 6am we were already docked at Port Canaveral.
  4. Click on the "Cruise Compass" link at the top and you'll see all of the ones that other members have uploaded. In fact, the most recent one is from Oasis (Western Caribbean, April 9). It's a great resource!
  5. I was on Adventure last year and the tables were $5 min. As I was playing craps, I was helping a newbie standing next to me. He had a nickel on the pass line and the shooter rolled a 5 or 9 (don't remember that level of detail). So, the newbie puts down another nickle behind his passline bet and I advised him to put down 2 chips because it pays 3-2. Well, the bossman told me "no, can't do that- single odds". I was shocked. The best you can do when the point is 5 or 9 is to put down a single on top of your nickel (to make a $6 odds bet). Other than that, I loved the $5 table. Wife and I are sailing on Oasis end of June. It's bad enough that the casino is so smokey. I sure hope the tables are $5 or they won't see us in there.
  6. So, it appears that RCI plays this game: Since final payment on a 7-night cruise is due 90 days before the cruise, they tend to discount prices for that cruise roughly 89 days before the cruise. Since we've already made the final payment, we can't rebook for the discounted price. I understand that we can upgrade our stateroom if there's a better room at a same/lower price, However, it appears that our only option is to upgrade from our Boardwalk balcony (includes "eat/drink/play" package) to an oceanview (same size stateroom/balcony and no "eat/drink/play"). Not cool!
  7. I'd like to get this straight. Is it true that once the final payment is made, we can't rebook our stateroom if the price goes down? In our case, we have a Boardwalk view balcony on Oasis (6/25-7/2). Tonight, when I priced the same category (B2) for that week, the price was lower by about $500. Our TA claims that there isn't anything she can do since prices went down 1-Apr and our final payment was due the week prior. Any suggestions?
  8. I'm not sure about receiving calls from landlines. However, other iPhone users back home could call you via FaceTime Audio. Also, anyone with any other type of smartphone could use Skype, Viber or WhatsApp (but both you and the caller would have to have those apps). There are many other VOIP apps but those are the more common ones. I've never shelled out the $$ for VOOM (reviews are pretty sketchy) but I've used WiFi at local establishments at various ports and made calls using VOIP.
  9. I believe the Oasis class ships would not be able to get under the F. S. Key Bridge (I-695) and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (US-50/US-301) to get to the Baltimore port.
  10. Hi all, Sorry if this has already been discussed (if so, please post a link to the thread). Which transportation company do people recommend for going from the Orlando airport (MCO) to Port Canaveral (and, of course, back)? There are 4 in our party and we are taking Oasis of the Seas June 25th. Thanks everyone!
