FManke got a reaction from PRC in What's missing?
Also who doesn't love some "pre-breakfast appetizers!"

FManke got a reaction from Gears in What's missing?
I've heard they are a good place to relax during off hours, yes?

Reading everything on line here, I thought that might be a good place to grab lunch on embarkation day, and avoid the Windjammer.

I love Radiance class. Glass to the outside everywhere. No mater what I'm doing I always feel 'connected' to where I am. The "glass/exterior" elevators are a treat, and I still feel that the Solarium design is the best ever!
framke, on Serenade, do grab a kemmelwerk (sp?) sandwich in the Solarium Cafe, and they have a good variety of snacks all the way from breakfast till the wee hours. There were quite a few mornings last Nov when I would give in to temptation early in the morning and go grab "pre-breakfast" there before the WJ opened up! and of course I was there every night for my pizza and misc munchies fix! (clothes were tight after 11 days!)

FManke got a reaction from KLA in Another "included" perk being removed......
From what I've read, at least about hot breakfast, people aren't really missing much. I think at least keeping the complimentary continental breakfast is a good move. In the end, if somebody really wants room service they will pay for it. I think a lot of people just order it for the novelty of it and maybe that staff will be better used elsewhere?

FManke got a reaction from PeterElicy in Best Moment?
I want to know your best RCCL moment. Any cruise, any place, anytime. I want to know what made you say," I'm never going to take a cruise with anyone else, ever again!"

How does this compare to other cruise lines? Is RCCL just playing catch up? It's hard to be a leader when you seem to be following.

FManke got a reaction from PeterElicy in Crown and Anchor newbie
Eventhough this will be our first cruise, I figured what the heck and went all in, by signing up for the Crown and Anchor Society. Are there any benefits to receive on our first cruise or do they start on following cruises? I've also read that sometimes, first time cruisers are invited to the Captain's Table for dinner. Long shot of course, but has that ever happened to anybody you know? Just curious.

I'm assuming you received those perks mainly because of your suite, and not just your C&AS status.

FManke got a reaction from Jerel in Booked on Symphony but considering a change of itinerary
I think it may be like buying a first year model of a car. You have a lot to brag about, if it all goes right.

FManke got a reaction from PeterElicy in Help! I'm overplanning!
I need help. I know I'm an over planner, but I can't seem to help it. I once told my wife and kids on a Disney trip that there was "no time for pictures." It has become a source of humor since then. Does anybody else have this problem? Any suggestions? I want everything to be perfect, since this is a surprise anniversary cruise for my wife.

I've heard the best deals are to wait and book onboard, especially during port days, true?

FManke reacted to BillHoo in Izumi for Dummies
OK. First things.
On your plate in addition to the sushi rolls, you will see a small, thumb-sized pile of green dough. That is to cleanse your palate. Just pop it in your mouth and roll it around to prepare your tongue for all the flavors....
Okay just kidding. When one of my friends first went for sushi, he did not realize it was wasabi, a horse-radish condiment that you mix in with the soy sauce to give it a little kick. If you try it undiluted, you'll get a kick alright! He swallowed it whole!
This is a good instructional:

The following is for fun. do not follow this as real sushi ettiquite:
