  1. Enjoy your vacation! In the words of @twangster, "Don't be a slave to the live blog".
  2. Not if you work for a board that requires a doctor's note after a few days...that is problematic lol In Ontario...Last day of school is always the last Friday of June.....???
  3. Going to hijack this blog to ask a question...if anyone would know, it's going to be @twangster. I noticed during your scopes and pics today that the ships were facing the other direction (towards Miami). Last week when we were there, Mariner and Empress were facing the open waters. What dictates which way they dock on embarkation day? Is it something that is just left up to the Captain?
  4. I vaguely remember when CK first started that it was not standard across all the ships that had one. But in recent years, since they revamped the CK menu, it now seems to be. If you like something from the MDR menu, just ask them really nicely to have it in CK. Best of both worlds. We've done that before.
  5. Thanks for posting those prices! That is bad news for me though in two weeks when I have to make that transfer. Also flying into FLL to board Mariner out of Miami.... That's probably the one downside to taking cruise line shuttles...a lot of waiting around when you could be on board sooner. But a good savings on your part.
  6. That menu (at least the first one posted) was also the same CK menu from Harmony back in August 2017 and also from CK on Anthem in March 2018. And as far as I know, CK and MDR serve different menus. Go to CK lol.
  7. @bellemiche is live blogging here this week. She's posting menus from CK and sky class benefits.
  8. Love the port area in CM. It is exactly as @Matt and what you described you have seen on YouTube. @twangster has some great photos from there from his LOS cruise. CM starts on pg.4.
  9. If you look under the dining forum, @Matt posted earlier that it is part of the refreshment package too now. I was quite surprised when I saw this on FB a few days ago...
  10. I totally agree. We are more of a "ship is the destination" family anyway.
  11. Don't thank me. Thank @twangsterbot. I was just passing along his info ? I love the room! Not sure how you will go back after this ? We can deal with the "suite blues" while we are in dry dock together ?
  12. Ok. I was pretty much waiting for Black Friday too. Although our ports are labadee, Cozumel and Falmouth so we might just stay on board most of the time.
  13. My vote is in for Canada/NE July/August 2020 GC! Just in case @Matt didn't hear me the first 10 times or so before ? I am even willing to cruise Lady G to meet everyone! That says a lot cause you all know I love OA class! Lol
  14. Your scope of the balloon drop turned out great (connection wise) so VOOM can't be that bad. I have heard that Raj is amazing! And side note, I just found out recently that on some ships if they know you are blogging, then service is different. I did not find this out till disembarkation day but good info to know....
  15. I did! The scribbling was a great idea! Loved it!
  16. Lol...you are packing really last minute now...like Hubster lol Following! As always. Safe travels tonight! So the RC transfer is from FLL to Port of Miami right? How much was it pp if you don't mind my asking?
  17. @hayley_bopp Wow! What a great blog. I just finished catching up. The pictures are amazing! Reading through this has me longing to go back to the Med. My deepest apologies for not being able to tune into more of your scopes live. This was simply fantastic to read through! Thank you!
  18. @CraftyCat05, I love your writing style. Trying to actually catch one of your scopes live. I just watched your GS one on replay. Love the room!!! And the flowers too...
  19. In the past, they have not been. However, this past week on FB, there were some posts implying that now they are. So I can see where the confusion is coming from. I however, do not have an answer. I can find out in two weeks if no one else can confirm before that.
  20. I was waiting for this pic to resurface!! Love it!
  21. And warning...if you bring kids to the Adult show be prepared to get singled out. When we sailed Harmony, a dad thought he could hide way in the back by the bar with his kids, well he was the highlight of the show. And not in a good way ?
  22. If it's this October (2018) then she will not have undergone revitalizations yet.
  23. If you are in a GS on Oasis you must try Coastal Kitchen! That is the dining room dedicated to GS and higher. Forget the MDR for this cruise lol. Take advantage of your suite benefits. If there is something that you are dying to try from the MDR menu, just have them deliver it to your stateroom or CK, another perk of Sky class. Here is the concierge letter that you will receive...it is very similar. Also, @bellemicheis sailing Oasis in a few days. Stay tuned for a report from her in the live blog section.
