  1. CK opens the same hours regardless of port days or not. The hours are usually 7-10am (+/- 30min), 12-1:30pm, and 5:30-9pm. Suite lounge is open 24 hrs but there is nothing there when it is not attended. Suite concierge hours are generally from 8am-12pm (+/- 30min) and 4:30pm-8pm (+/- 30min). The bar in the suite lounge is open from 11am-11pm, continental breakfast usually from 7am-10am, appetizers from 4:30pm-8pm. I believe the specialty coffee machine is able to be used 24hrs though.
  2. I hate the Royal app for that very reason. On Symphony last week, it never did refresh itself. I tried logging out/back in and I even deleted the app and re-installed it. Nothing. Very unreliable. We just used it to show our set sail pass on the first day and to check our folio during the cruise.
  3. Not sure if you are on FB but there is a Royal Caribbean Dining FB page (@Matt and a few others run it). People always post pics of the birthday cake there from various ships. Maybe post a question there and see if anyone knows when Navigator offers it on the 4 night sailing.
  4. I don't think they are adding Hooked on Oasis are they? I would try it if I had UDP or Star. I just didn't want to waste my one night complimentary dining on it.
  5. I would choose 9:30 am. The ride there is approx 45min and most terminals open by 10 am if not earlier. That should get you there with plenty of time for boarding. Please come back and do a review of Cortran's if you end up going with them. I would love to hear about it. I'm thinking of using them for our cruise out of PC in December 2020. I will have a group of 14 with me.
  6. It's actually your experience that I think of every time we take our own bags. And we don't leave super early either. Depending on our flight, we usually leave the ship between 8-9am.
  7. If you don't pack excessively and can manage, I would keep all your luggage and self-carry it off. That is what we always do. We stick to the rule that each person can only pack as much as they can physically carry. We don't leave our luggage out the night before (unless it's for luggage valet) and we take it all off with us. We find this faster as we now don't have to stop to search for our luggage and less chance of it getting lost or taken by someone else.
  8. And I could say the same to you on another sailing...Allure 03/14/21 ?
  9. I will hold that booking until I no longer can....
  10. Not yet but I will likely have to. I am currently booked on both, that one and the one on Adventure for 07/15/2020. While I really want to go with everyone on Brilliance, I think that it will be too much to ask my parents to take care of my kids during the school year. Summer is different but for them to have to pack lunches and get the girls to two different schools at that point, that is asking a lot. And we will miss Thanksgiving with the family...
  11. Recently, on both Anthem and Symphony, they offered it on the second formal night.
  12. I'd be interested to know too as we are likely sailing Adventure in July 2020 as well to Canada/NE.
  13. Great blog again @twangster! I really enjoyed seeing this ship through the pictures. You are right...those new itineraries for Empress look tempting. Especially the one sailing from Montreal. My wallet is safe though...still a big ship girl...?
  14. They might be able to do it for you but keep this in mind when you ask.... A typical turnaround/embarkation day begins very early for the concierges. On Symphony, the begin escorting guests off at 6:30am. Typically, by the time they start boarding the next round of guests, the concierges have taken their break and are not back in the lounge until 4:30pm. Assuming that they did have time to put up the decorations, your stateroom attendant may not be done with the room for decorations to go up. Your best bet, if you really want the decorations to be ready when you walk in, is to purchase the decorations through your cruise planner and then make the request to the concierge to have the room attendant put it up. That is what I would do anyway.
  15. This messes with my Summer 2021 cruise plans if she is in Europe that season...?
  16. I totally agree. We've done 3 with DCL and even that was hard to justify. The second the kids said they felt like they outgrew the Disney ships, we said goodbye. You won't find me on one of those again unless my kids taking me lol.
  17. That's what I was wondering too. I always thought she was meant to start in Florida in the Fall of 2020?
  18. If it's your first time on OA class, then you are in for a treat! Oasis class ships are best and Oasis should be great after her revitalization! We're booked on her for March 2020. That's our next cruise.
  19. Ugh! Don’t say the “S” word ?? No problem! Turns out I enjoy blogging and thank you for taking the time to follow while you are halfway across the world!? That’s me...call it as I see it ? and yes, we are home. About to do a Costco run so that it about as close to reality as it gets ?
  20. Wasn’t that for Harmony in May? They have not been approved yet for LV in Terminal A. But they did tell me that for every person who asks or gives feedback on the lack of LV, it gets logged and helps them to get approved faster. So you should definitely bring it up if they don’t have it yet by the time you go.
  21. I would say who cares! Eat to your heart’s content. Before you know it, you’ll be back at home dreaming of cruise food. Life is too short to worry about if others think you are eating or ordering too much. ?
  22. Doubtful. 225 days! ? Thanks for following! ? Well I tried! Glad you did @rjac! Yes sorry, I forgot to blog that. We were invited to a galley tour and bridge tour. No backstage tour this time. The suite sail away party was from St. Maarten this time. Tips for the loft? Stay in it and don’t leave! ? Deck 17 is wonderful. I completely love it. Feel free to ask any other specific questions and lots of us can answer ? Thanks for following Joe!
  23. Actually, I was thinking of you when I wrote that post last night because it dawned on me then why you said what you said in a scope back in November.
