  1. What?! I am not even sure how to process that?! That is big difference!
  2. Most current update on Barefoot beach cabanas from my Genie. This is for our OA 3/13/22 sailing. OTW 5 and 6 not available as per shore excursions team due to maintenance issues. Cost for remaining OTW is $799 now. Finding that a bit hard to justify especially since Hubby and the girls don’t even care about the cabana.
  3. I am secretly hoping (wishful thinking) that they will follow the US and require antigen testing for air but not land borders
  4. Ugh! We will still need an antigen test to come back. So annoying. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/feds-set-to-eliminate-pre-arrival-pcr-testing-for-fully-vaccinated-canadian-travellers-source-says-1.5778453 So I guess now the question becomes where to get a rapid antigen test cause shoreside through Royal only has rapid PCR from what I can tell on this link provided earlier: https://covlc.gomeyra.cloud/services/tests
  5. I just checked my Royal Up for March13th, it still says "Pending"
  6. See this thread: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/28246-as-a-canadian-wait-yet-again-or-go-on-cruise/
  7. ^^^This^^^ Please let this happen!
  8. I hear you! I am a teacher and Hubby sees patients all day and kids are in school. I hold them the last two weeks before the cruise, everyone better mask up and be extra diligent lol.
  9. I thought the Nov 2023-April 2024 batch wasn't out till April?
  10. That would be perfect! Thanks! I assuming you meant back on the 20th of February right? I come back on the 20th of March so that is when I would be looking to book something.
  11. I turned my phone the other way and saw the prices.
  12. That's right! That's what it was. The cancelled GC that we were all booked on. I remember now that I was thinking of grabbing that one but you had it so I took a middle GS on the hump instead. Makes me sad that we never got to go.
  13. Thanks! That is helpful. $175pp for PCR is not as high as I thought it would be. Question still remains as to how fast those results will come. How was your experience with them? @Vancity Cruiser how much did you say that Nomi at MIA was charging for rapid PCR?
  14. I think @Matthad this room before on Brilliance. To me this room always seemed a bit cramped for a GS. Never was able to bring myself to book it the times it was available.
  15. Ha! That was my first thought too when the news came out about this a few days ago!
  16. They say on their site that the wait is about an hour but there have been a few accounts elsewhere that some were waiting way longer than that. That is what has me nervous about airport testing. NCL doesn't use the same shoreside testing as Royal right?
  17. Maybe the Freedom convoy can get us out of this before March Break?
  18. He never got his results. Had to do another test at MIA. Maybe? lol I don't even know either anymore. I need to check back old posts.
  19. In other news, I just noticed on the CBSA website just now that the wording has changed a bit for arrival back to Canada by car. Didn't it used to say the test must be completed in the US? I remember that is why I was worried in December that they wouldn't accept the onboard test. Now it just say "outside of Canada". So technically, I could be at sea and test and be ok to come back with this? If so, those Switch Health ones are looking like the better option. Arriving by car, bus, boat, ferry or train You must take a molecular test outside of Canada within 72 hours of your planned entry into Canada.
  20. I will definitely post it here as I am considering that option. If it wasn't for what happened with @Vancity Cruiser, I would probably do it for sure. But that has me a bit leery now. I am currently bouncing 3 options in my head: test shoreside, test at Miami airport, or find a place in Detroit that will do rapid PCR after 4:30pm (but that is becoming harder to find).
  21. I should hear from whoever my Genie is soon and plan to ask about exact pricing then. I am guessing it varies by port.
  22. Same! Just did it after work last night!
  23. Why not just test shoreside with Royal then right when you get off the ship?
