  1. Nonsense. You wouldn’t have gotten that blue band if it was what bad. And you just have to keep practicing. It took Hubby at least 3-4 cruises where he was solely devoted to the FlowRider before he got somewhat decent.
  2. I agree with this. Same with the CK menu. As much as I love certain items at both places, a refresh would be nice. Someone in the Royal Caribbean Dining FB group for my Oasis sailing next week said they got an email advertising the seafood tower as an addition to their UDP. They did not include a copy of their email, and I have no clue how true that post was. It would be an awesome surprise if they brought that back too.
  3. There's a lot to unpack here. You did not mention if you are visiting all the parks at Disney or just a selected few. That is going to have impact on where you might want to stay. If you want the benefits of Early magic hours, parking, late evening hours, early Genie+ access, etc. then you will want to stay on Disney property at one of their resorts. We usually choose the resort that is closest to where we will be spending the majority of our time. When the kids were younger, it was a resort that was close to Magic Kingdom. We chose that because 3 of those hotels (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary) are on the monorail loop and parking is the worst (IMO) at MK. If you don't plan to visit MK, then you might select a different one. If you want to stay off Disney property, there are a few hotels that will still give you park perks. The Dolphin/Swan/Swan Reserve all fall under that. When we sailed Wonder in July 2023, Hubby wanted to visit Hollywood Studios only and we had no kids with us. I wanted nothing to do with Disney Resorts, so the Swan Reserve was a good compromise. It kept us away from the Disney resort craziness, but we still had the perks at the parks. If there was more info in your post, it might help others to give you better suggestions. Walt Disney World is beast and so complicated. More info is needed. Are you travelling with kids? Will you have car? What parks do you want to visit? Do you care about the perks offered to Disney Resort guests?
  4. You can book Celebrity at Next Cruise, however, I don't believe the open bookings from Next Cruise are interchangeable between cruise lines. For an open booking, you get a reservation number. That reservation goes with you when you apply that open booking. The cruise that you select will have the same reservation number as your open booking and the booking date will actually be the date that you purchased the open booking. So because reservations numbers are not interchangeable between the two lines, logic would say that you cannot use your open booking to book X. However, I would be pleasantly surprised if someone else has different info and is able to do it.
  5. Thanks for the tip. I supposed that would be a game time decision on that day. Once we start driving we can take a look a traffic and see which option is better.
  6. Did I mention that I am very jealous, and I want to be like you when I retire lol One day dry dock!
  7. Never mind my previous post. I should have read the article first
  8. I always wonder if we tip on the printed receipt if the bartender gets that.
  9. I don’t think they were saying that it would cause someone to miss the ship, but they were comparing it to Brightline possibly being faster if one got stuck in traffic.
  10. I am pretty excited for it! It’s our first S2S ever. I forgot to mention that we would be dropping off the rental car at FLL (airport) and Ubering our way to PE.
  11. People were mentioning traffic congestion on the I95. But seeing that we would make that drive well before noon, I wasn’t sure if that would be a concern.
  12. I know where to find him too but I will be on Oasis lol

  14. It's $200 flat for an open reservation. I did 3 of these while on Odyssey for NYE and I just used them a few days ago with new deployments. They add the names in later and adjust your deposit.
  15. Looking for advice from the Florida natives here like @tonyfsu21 @Matt @OCSC Mike @WAAAYTOOO @AshleyDilloor anyone who has done this before. At the end of July, Hubby and I are doing a S2S. We are going from Adventure of the Seas (PC) to the Celebrity Reflection (PE) on a Friday morning. At the moment, our plan is to leave Adventure as early as possible and do self-disembark at around 6:30/7am. We rented a car at Enterprise on Mullet Road because they open at 7am and we're planning to drive ourselves to Fort Lauderdale to board Refelction that very same day. Is this a good plan? I thought it was until someone recently asked the same type of question in a FB group. Then people started to bring up traffic (which I have not much knowledge of). Someone suggested Brightline but that seems like a lot of hassle to me (we would need to Uber our way back to Orlando, take the train to the Fort Lauderdale station, and Uber again to the port). Any ideas/suggestions/better plan?
  16. I have a black thumb too! That's why it became the class plant because they kids said they would care for it lol. I am surprised it is still alive and green during this time in my house If you only knew the kid who named it, it would be an even funnier story lol
  17. Count me in that weirdo category too! I love just hanging out in my cabin. That is one of the reasons why we don't mind spending a bit extra on our cabins. So many say it's not worth it cause you're barely in it, but we are. Good to know we're not the only ones. This makes me laugh. You have a pet named Potato and I have a plant named Potato. Well actually, the plant was a gift from a student for my birthday last year. It became the class plant and we kept it in the classroom for the rest of the school year. One kid named it Potato and it sort of just stuck. Now Potato is at home with me since I took the year off.
  18. @Jax and I have tentative plans to meet up either the 28th or 29th in Fort Lauderdale. We might stay there before the allure cruise. You know, La Bamba and all lol. If you guys fly in early, we should all get together!
  19. Oh yes, that! I was tracking those suites like crazy, I wanted out of Tot town so bad. I am glad it worked out for you too!
