  1. Both my kids are over 12, so hopefully by end of 2021 or early 2022....
  2. Cabin crawls that involve @Mattalways fall into the memorable and fun category. ?
  3. Guilty. lol It's actually the Canada one. I was disappointed because we lost the 9 night Canada/NE in July 2020. This June, we are going to lose the Canada sailing on Oasis. So while I don't love the 4 night (too short) to one port only, the dates work out well with our anniversary, it takes us to the east coast, and it's Adventure so we figured we'll just extend the trip by spending a few days in NYC pre-cruise. I will have to look for a 9 night Canada/NE sailing another year when it doesn't conflict with my work schedule. I don't know why they are only doing them in September/October in 2022. If Hubby and I can both get vaccinated in time (he's Phase 1 and I should be Phase 2), we are going to the Rockies this summer. Staying in Canada, but at least we can get away for a bit.
  4. Star Class is a fantastic experience. My advice is not to invest too much into what others say, but to let your Genie do their thing. Everyone's experience is different and by trying to make it into someone else's experience, disappointment will usually follow. Most Genies are fantastic. There is no way at this point to predict or even know who will be on Oasis. With covid, all the genies have gone home and sadly, some have even left Royal to do other things. Also keep in mind, that while the overall benefits of Star are the same across the fleet, there are many variances by ship as well. Sometimes what you hear from others about what is allowed on one ship, may not be allowed on another. It should not be this way, but some aspects of the program are very ship and Genie dependent. Another reason to not invest too much into what others are saying and just let your Genie do their thing. There are quite a few Star class blogs here in the live blog section. That is a great way to get info about the program. Just go to live blogs and search that forum for "Star class" or "genie" in the search bar and tons will come up. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/forum/11-live-blogs/
  5. There are other gifts to buy a bot other than tools? And Joe's blog has officially been hijacked to Robot Vacuum of the Seas blog ?
  6. Remember how we said that Freedom prices in 2021 were ridiculous? Well Adventure in 2022 is even worse! That being said, I did book a short sailing on Adventure for the end of July 2022. It's more for sentimental reasons. It will be our 20th anniversary and we started on Adventure so I could not resist. Really hope the price on that sailing drops along the way. It already dropped $150 since booking lol.
  7. I feel the same. With the events of the last year, I think for me it will be more "hate" than "love" for a while.
  8. Oh come on! I don't even have one yet. Now I need to go get two?! And if Raye has it, well then you know how the story goes...? I want the Roomba...Hubby did not get the message for Christmas or Valentine's Day lol
  9. ^^^This! I have been on two cabin crawls that involved Star Class suites. It wasn't me in the the SC suite either time. Anyway, one, the Genie organized, printed menu cards, was present, and even took time to mingle with everyone. Fantastic. The other, the genie arranged for room service to deliver snacks and was no where to be seen. You don't need the Genie to really be involved, but having the Genie there and present does indeed make a difference. There's not much else I can add here that hasn't already been mentioned by others, however, I will say that I'm going to have to agree with @twangsteron this one. IIRC, your sailing is February 2022. I would be really surprised if covid protocols did not impact a cabin crawl somehow. Even if things improve, I don't know how much of a "normal cabin crawl experience" you would be able to get by then. Best not to invest too much into it just yet. But always good to take notes. @WAAAYTOOO is the queen is cabin crawls ?
  10. Yes! On ships without Royal Suite Class, the upgrade may not be as worth it. But I am a firm believer that on ships with Royal Suite Class, between guaranteed access to CK, access to the suite sun deck, saved seating at shows, and complimentary VOOM, the upgrade is definitely worth it.
  11. It's not good, they are not very forthcoming about it. I don't think it states it online while booking, and when you get on board, it only very subtly states it in cruise compass. And the wording isn't even that clear. Keep an eye on pricing. If it drops and you can upgrade to a Grand Suite, it might be worth it for Allure. Then you are guaranteed CK for all meals.
  12. I only know from my experiences pre-covid. When there is a new, unattached reservation, you have 60 days to transfer to an agent. I have heard that agents can take over a reservation past the 60 day mark as well, if it is unattached. Where it gets tricky is your situation where it is already attached to an agent. My understanding is that even if the current agency released it, Royal would take it back. You cannot pull a reservation from one agent and move it over to another. If you find out that you can, let me know lol. I still have one reservation that is stuck with an agent that I am not happy with.
  13. This is my understanding as well. That is always the gamble when booking a JS on ships that have CK. Reports have been very mixed on how available it is to JS guests. Purely anecdotal, just keeping track on my own from what I have heard from others, it seems to be easier to get into CK nightly on Quantum class ships rather than Oasis class ships.
  14. I am #teamCK all the way. Many of the dishes in CK are so similar to specialty venues and CK does it better. That being said, something was slightly "off" with the Symphony CK when we sailed her in July 2019. It wasn't bad, just some of my tried and true CK favourites, I had better in other Coastal Kitchens. Could have just been that particular sailing or the CK team at the time. That being said, it would still be a shame if you did not try it. I agree with @SpeedNoodles. If you are doing a B2B, I would do one week CK and one week UDP.
  15. It would not hurt to ask but room service from CK is usually for Star Class only.
  16. He’s right, I am biased. I hate the cold. But I still stand by my stance on not sailing out of NJ in the winter lol.
  17. @twangsterhas sailed these longer Caribbean sailings from NJ. Personally, we sailed a 8 night in March 2018 and I did not care for it at all. Took two days to “warm” up and lost two days on the way back because it got cold. Even the first stop in PC was not that warm. I promised myself that I would not sail out of NJ again in the winter after that sailing.
  18. You've got skiing on the brain lol. I was really surprised too this morning and I thought I misread your previous post. That made me go back and double check. I don't know about November 2022 - March 2023, but I did notice that Indy, Navigator, and Freedom are unaccounted for in Summer 2022. I keep wondering where these ones are headed and if one more is possibly headed to Bayonne.
  19. I just noticed that they have updated the opening schedule from what @Matt posted a few weeks ago. Now there appears to be a Phase 1 and Phase 2 Northeast release. Wonder what Phase 2 would be because Phase 1 is pretty slim pickings. Any guesses? http://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/22_23_Deployment_Opening_Schedule.pdf
