  1. Oh, you mean if both people MUST buy it or neither buy it? Currently, I sometimes get the package and my wife never does. If we both HAD to get it, neither of us would get it. We would pay per drink.
  2. Friend should buy the drink package. Friend of friend should either do nothing or buy a soda package, refreshment package, or whatever makes sense for them.
  3. Since I didn't see anywhere else to put this, I figured I'd post it here. I'm a semi-regular Celebrity cruiser, semi-regular meaning that around 1/3 of my cruises are on Celebrity. I've also looked at Azamara, but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm sure I'm not alone on this. Especially with status reciprocity at Diamond/Elite levels, it makes sense to look at Celebrity when deciding on a cruise. How about a separate Celebrity/Azamara board where we can discuss Celebrity, and occasionally Azamara, stuff? That way it doesn't mix in with the Royal Caribbean stuff. I think it would be interesting for regular Royal cruisers to see the differences. And those that aren't interested can ignore it. I understand about not diluting the brand too much. But if it's only for "us", the board users, then it doesn't have to creep outside that. Thoughts?
  4. It's an event where everyone pays $15 for 5 pulls on the same machine and then we split the winnings at the end based on some pre-agreed formula.
  5. Could be on the Planner, but I saw it on a sign outside Vintages. Just stop in and sign up! Again, I saw this on Liberty. I don't personally know it's been extended to Freedom. (But it should.) When we asked about it on Independence, the Vintages staff knew what we were asking about. That's a different event and is usually more about the GLASSES than the wine.
  6. That program started by the sommeliere on the Liberty! I'm so glad to hear it extended to Freedom. It was NOT on the Independence this past July. It's fantastic! It's MDR food that is paired by the sommeliere! It's absolutely perfect.
  7. As of now, the answer is no. Some sailings were re-experimenting with that. But fleetwide the answer is no.
  8. It depends. If you want it REALLY quiet, as some people do, this isn't for you. But to me those are fun noises. So you have to decide what's best for you.
  9. Most of us are both. (Even the ones that won't admit it. )
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RadioShack
  11. That's why websites like this exist! To answer all of those other burning questions!
  12. Thank you for the well balanced review. One thing to keep in mind is that a ship has a rhythm. People tend to do things at the same place at the same time. Sometimes, that's fun! Like at the Belly Flop competition. Sometimes it's not, like Windjammer upon boarding. As you start to understand the rhythm, and understand what you like about cruising and what you don't like, you get used to how to have the best cruise you can have FOR YOU! Thanks again!
  13. Bumper cars usually have a line, but not more than 20 minutes. Trapeze school might have an advance sign up sheet, ask in the SeaPlex. Basketball is walk up. So it depends.
  14. Let's put it this way... If someone tells me that they paid less than I did and I ask WHY? If the answer is that they booked really early, that makes sense to me and I have no issue with it. If the answer is that they booked really late, it makes me feel foolish for not waiting. It creates a culture where it's best to wait for the last minute.
  15. I've previously posted pictures of the Vintages menu from Anthem of the Seas. It does vary by ship and ship location.
  16. You can set up a password. There must be a way to get into the voice mailbox away from the cabin, I just don't know what that way is. You could try asking once on board.
