  1. I have had similar issues when my parents forgot their login information. They are not particularly tech savvy, and it took several phone calls to C&A and several attempts to rest the password. If it becomes a hastle, if you wife hasn't set up a my cruise account yet, start from scratch with her email, then search and add your reservation number to manage it from there. Then when yours gets straightened out you can both access it.

  2. Doc is correct. RC's price integrity program mandates that everyone sell their cruises at the same price. That being said, many of the larger online booking outlets have the ability to provide substantial booking incentives above what the cruise line offers such as OBC, free gratuities, etc. Of course, for what you get in monitory incentives, you may give up in service.

  3. Thus was my reply to a similar thread http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php/topic/2584-cash-on-board/

This is what I generally spend in cash once we leave our pre-cruise hotel. I welcome comments; cheapskate, reasonable or overboard?

Porters at the pier $2.50/bag ×4 bags twice = $20

    Excursion guide $5.00/person × 3excursions = $30

    Excursion bus driver $2.50/person × 3excursions = $15

Cab driver to and from pier $2.50/bag ×4 bags twice = $10

Cab driver at port of call $5.00 × ? To and from = $10

Room service $5.00 twice per cruise = $10

Extra for room attendant assuming fabulous friendly service $20

    Total $115

    Casino $yikes

  4. A real & traditional out door promenade on which you don't get run over by joggers. But since that wasn't your question, & since I've never been on Q-class, I will go with

Central park (we loved it on allure in November )

North Star (never been but yawn on the zip line)

Matt says Wonderland so I go with Giovani'Giovani's table.

  5. I agree with Matt. We were recently on Allure & I found the included food options to be fair to good (leaning towards good). We particularly enjoyed breakfast at Johnny Rockets. Wipe out cafe and the main dining room also had good breakfasts, both of which do cook to order omelets. Because we enjoy the "tradition" of traditional dining in the MDR, we only choose to eat dinner in a specialty restaurant once per cruise.

  6. We try and sail in early April and late October/early November. I use the current offerings as a guide to know which itinerary and ship I want to try to book. I wait VERY IMPATIENTLY for the new itineraries to be released (feb-april) and book both cruises the day they are opened (18 to 24 months out). We usually make 3 large payments while leaving $100 to pay when final payment is due.

I am already figuring out what we will try and book for fall 2018, spring 2019 and anxiously awaiting the the deployment announcements!.

  7. Thanks all for your suggestions.  Donolog, my daughter would definitely be interested in most of those activities.  We may do the Wizarding World of Harry Potter but it would be after the cruise.

FloatMe that hotel looks amazing however for me to book it for one night it would cost me $600+ with the exchange rate (Canadian) so that would be completely out but at some point I would love to.  I know I am going to pay more because it's March/spring break.

Wow, spring break makes a huge difference! Random day of March 18th was $365 for the same room we paid $195 in October. Oddly embassy suites is $335 for the same date which is any higher than their normal rate.

  8. Hi, I am just in the process of booking my first cruise with RCL for my daughter and I during her March Break in 2018 (Canadian).  I have cruised with Disney previously but my daughter is getting older and princess things are really not of any interest to her.  I have two questions.  First can anyone recommend a good hotel near Port Everglades and is there things to do with/for 10 year olds?

    Thanks in advance,

    Tanya

How many nights prior to the cruise will you be staying? odd question ,  I know, but if you are staying multiple nights I HIGHLY recommend Lago Mar! it is a beautiful resort on the beach. it has a nice pool,  out door play area, life size chess board, soda shop, restaurant, large private beach area, and it's two properties down from the entrance to pier so you can walk down and watch the ships sail out on Saturday. the staff is fantastic & the price for a room with 2 doubles was less than I am paying at embassy suites this coming april. the only down side is that it not convenient to local restaurants and stores so we had to uber a lot if we needed to get something from the grocery or wanted to eat somewhere other than the on site restaurant (which was great by the way).

  9. It is a good problem to have when you have to decide what to pre-purchase and what to use OBC for, and occasionally we have have to make a decision to pay more for something on board. Fortunately the classic soda package never goes on sale so we can always count on $189 to $213 for gratuities and $120 for our two soda packages which usually leaves us enough to buy a few coffees or something from the gift shop. Other than that we try and pre-purchase internet, specialty restaurants, and excursions.

  10. Thats great info thank you so much, since this is my first time the little items like this that can make planning easier and a lot more fun are great.  Can you use on board credits in the casino does anyone know? Since we don't know when our second cruise will be or when i plan on trying to take advantage as much as i can of everything to do on the ship while still trying to enjoy all the other amenities the ship has to offer

I don't know how much OBC you have but keep in mind that gratuities will be $189 which usually eats up a large portion of most people's OBC

  11. I have read a couple of things today that Navigator is using an overflow tent terminal in Miami today and lines are extremely long and wait is hours in the sun outside. RC did offer to bus passengers to nearby shopping area to wait it out until The afternoon. Does anyone know if this is a "normal" terminal for the navigator? We are leaving out in Miami on Navigator in February. A little concerned if this is a normal thing. I like to think of embarkment day as "day 1!"

I have no basis or knowledge for saying this, but I would personally be stunned if this happened again.

  12. We are boarding in Ft. Lauderdale if that helps with anything

Once you are checked in you will proceed up the escalator the suite embarkation waiting area will be towards your left (as you are walking) it is well marked for sea class suites. And there are plenty of helpers to point you in the right direction.
