  1. While I'm pessimistic about it, I hope that it eventually does. My wife would certainly like to have it on her app calendar. Just on this message board alone, there are questions and complaints about it. So, I can only imagine how often frustrated guests are complaining about it to guest services, concierges, cruise directors, etc.
  2. I'm not sure it ever will. The Vitality Spa is actually a third-party business not run/managed by Royal Caribbean. While anything you book will show up in your website cruise planner calendar, their reservation system may not be able to sync up with the Royal Caribbean app. We found this out just by chance because my wife wanted to return a skin product she bought onboard a few years ago. (I can't recall the parent company)
  3. In addition to the ones pointed out by Gus, these two in the SE 17th Street area also have Airport and Cruise Terminal transportation: Four Points Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port I had booked Hyatt but got a better rate (and Marriott Rewards points) for staying at the Four Points, but I suggest requesting a room on east side of the building away from Highway 1. What's nice about that area of 17th street is that there are many restaurants and a Publix in walking distance. Also, a Total Wine & More is next to the Publix if you choose to bring wine onboard.
  4. I'm not sure what you mean by not as popular. There is a decent amount of them out there. Our last three Caribbean sailings have been Southern itineraries. (As winter cruisers from Michigan, we try to guarantee ourselves warm weather!) Two were 7-Nights out of San Juan. (As mentioned, flights can be pricey). One was an 8-night on Odyssey out of Fort Lauderdale. (Right @SpeedNoodles?!?! ) For cruises out of Florida, there are ships that generally alternate 6-night and 8-night cruises: the 6-night will be an Eastern/Western followed by an 8-Night Southern. This might be why it looks like there are less available, since only half of a particular ship's cruises are Southern.
  5. Spa reservations never show up on the app. I think the issue may be that the Vitality Spa is actually a third party business, not Royal Caribbean. Spa reservations will show up in your cruise planner calendar on the website, however.
  6. A glitch on a Royal Caribbean website? Surely, you jest!
  7. Sort of. You must be connected to the ship's Wi-Fi to reserve activities. Keep in mind that, often, not all activities slots for the duration of your cruise become available on Day 1. Some items have times that become available as the cruise progresses. For instance, on Odyssey last year there were no Zone Zero times available when we boarded. More times became available to reserve on the Morning of Day 3 (and periodically throughout the cruise).
  8. It was there in Sept but one night only. I saw it two nights on Oasis and in both instances deck 4 by the casino. Kinda surprised that it's not at least a semi-regular thing on the Boardwalk area of the Oasis-Class ships. Seems like it would be a perfect fit there.
  9. It was no more hectic than any other port I've embarked at. (August 2022, 11:00am) I think the issue may arise if more than one ship is doing it's turn around on your departure day. We had the luxury of Quantum being the only ship in port on a Monday morning. You can check if other ships are departing on your departure date here: 2023 Sailing Schedule Updated 3.14.23.pdf (portseattle.org)
  10. The comedians I've seen do Adult and Family Friendly shows do a different set for each show. It's not the same show with "poop" and "freak" substituting for the expletives.
  11. Looks like anyone going to or from FLL over the next couple days (at the very least) are in for some very trying travel issues.
  12. The automated response is just a confirmation that your request has been received. You should also receive a personal response soon; generally, within about 10 business days once your request has been viewed by an employee. Items requested should be in your cabin on embarkation day. If not, your stateroom attendant will make note of the items you need when they introduce themselves on embarkation day and deliver them by the evening. Typically, while you are at dinner.
  13. You can reprice booked flights that aren't paid off yet? This is a part of A2S that I did not know. (especially since my flights are now a little cheaper than when I booked a few weeks ago!)
  14. Just scrolled to the bottom of the message board page and was surprised to see that the amount of RC Blog members is an even 24,000!
  15. In addition to what's already been mentioned, the Solarium Bistro might also be a good option.
  16. @Bmac, do you have any updates on this topic for me? I've only got 297 days left to find out the answer!
  17. @Zacharius Not being someone that typically books one-ways, I honestly didn't even know that the premium for doing so is pretty much eliminated. I think the more important thing about the guarantee is for getting your flight changed for oversold flights and cancelled flights due to lack of crew or mechanical issues. Weather issues? No one is probably gonna get you there if it's severe enough. Flight changes are one of the biggest reasons I always try to book the earliest flight I can at least one day before the cruise. A cancellation of an early flight gives you a better chance of getting there on an afternoon, evening, or even early NEXT morning flight.
  18. Caribbean Islands are not typically covered by AT&T Cell/Data plans (Coco Cay, Roatan), but are covered while in Mexico (Cozumel, Costa Maya).
  19. For Seattle (from the eastern time zone) I used Air2Sea last year. I liked it for the following reasons. 1. I was able to get flight times that worked for us by Air2Sea offering flights on separate airlines without the additional charges that the individual airlines would incur for booking one-way. 2. Thankfully, I did not need this, but they guarantee to get you to your cruise if flight issues arise by getting you on another flight/flights. 3. Booking far enough in advance, I was able to add the cost of flights to my cruise reservation and pay it off over time instead of all at once. 4. While the standard cost for economy flights is more than an economy flight booked directly, the airfare is refundable. (Also, the Air2Sea refundable rates are considerably less than the airlines refundable rates.)
  20. Here is a link to the thread mentioned by @ChessE4. I'm using this thread quite a bit myself for our January 2024 Harmony sailing.
  21. With all the mathematics needed to figure out the pricing, it's a good thing that I took several algebra courses in college!
  22. Another factor that makes the math seem fuzzy at times: Sometimes the discount reflects a percentage off of the CRUISE PLANNER list price. Sometimes the discount reflects a percentage off of the ON BOARD list price. At first glance of a new sale, you might think the discount is better, but the percentage is a discount of the ON BOARD price instead of the CRUISE PLANNER price.
  23. The "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" is supposed to reflect the price for TWO after buying one full price and paying half for the other. (So, roughly 25% off for two) So, two at $90.00 x 1.5 = $135. $135 divided by 2 = $67.50 each (Advertised 51 cents cheaper.) In the second example, 70% of $90.00 is $63.00
