Looks like another ship I'll want to try! So many cruises, so little time.... ?

At first I wasn't exactly happy about Sabor being replaced with this on Symphony but now I'm looking forward to trying it out when I finally sail on Symphony!

Allure of the Seas must have meal
BugsyCruiser replied to Toyman55's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Personally I love Giovanni's on Allure, especially the filet. Don't get me wrong, I like Jamie's Italian on Harmony but I still think Giovanni's is a bit better. -
Favorites on: Puerto Rico, St. Marteen & Labadee?

Price is 25 dollars. That will get you a beach chair, umbrella, and your choice of whatever combination of 4 drinks, ie 4 bottles of beer, 4 sodas, 2 of each.... -
British Colonial Hitlon Beach Day Review!

Not crowded at all considering we had 5 ships in port that day. No issue finding a chair at the beach or seat at the open air bar and grill -
British Colonial Hitlon Beach Day Review!
BugsyCruiser replied to BugsyCruiser's topic in Shore Excursions
I will add that the 40 dollar food and beverage credit does go quickly. I went 40 dollars over my credit but no surprise it's your typical resort prices. Considering the cost of Atlantis or other all inclusive options which require a taxi, this is a good value in my humble opinion. That pretty much concludes the review friends. If anyone else has any questions feel free and I will try to answer them as best as I can -

Thanks Matt. I can see why you recommend the place so much, well worth the 79 dollars! -

Of course there will be a couple of food and drinks photos! I opted for the grilled fish sandwich and the drink of choice that day for me was the Bahama Mama -

Hi Kathy. You can use the beverage credit at any of the restaurants. If you look at the bar picture that is where the grill is located and they do have covered seating there along with fans going where you can eat at as well -
British Colonial Hitlon Beach Day Review!
BugsyCruiser replied to BugsyCruiser's topic in Shore Excursions
Here are some pictures of the hotel grounds and also you can see how close the ships are. The water and beach are absolutely gorgeous. Another plus is the pool is heated so no "ice box" feel when you get into the water! -
British Colonial Hitlon Beach Day Review!
BugsyCruiser replied to BugsyCruiser's topic in Shore Excursions
At check in you will pay the balance owed for the beach day with either a credit or debit card. You'll receive a wristband so the staff will know your a beach day guest for the day. You will also receive your voucher for the food and beverage credit and for beach towels. It is not necessary to bring towels from the ship.... another plus. Once outside and when you pick your chairs where you would like to sit at the beach you'll meet your server. He or she will take your food and beverage credit and keep track of your purchases. Once you go over that 40, an additional amount spent is payable with a credit card or cash but you won't pay till your ready to head back to the ship and close out your bill. At the east end of the pool is where you would turn in your voucher for up to two beach towels. -

If you're looking for a nice beach day in St. Maarten and not that far from the pier, I highly recommend the Holland House Hotel. Great staff, food, and location just a short walk from the water taxi at the boardwalk -
British Colonial Hitlon Beach Day Review!
BugsyCruiser replied to BugsyCruiser's topic in Shore Excursions
Getting to the hotel is super easy and only about a ten minute walk. Once you leave the port area head west all the way till the road turns left. You'll see a Senor Frogs right at that corner. Turn left and go about 3 blocks and you're at the Hilton. Check in was easy... I'll go over the details a little later today. The hotel lobby is beautiful as you'll see in these pictures: -
Hello friends! I'm here to provide you with a review of my beach day at the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau! This came highly recommended from Matt on several of his Periscope broadcasts so I figured our RC Periscopers Super Bowl group cruise aboard Enchantment would be the perfect opportunity to try it out! This beach day is available from Resortforaday and is 79 dollars with a 17 dollar deposit paid up front and the rest payable when you check in at the hotel(no cash accepted, credit or debit card only). It's a late start tonight so I'll add more tomorrow. We actually arrived in Nassau a day early at 5 pm due to Coco Cay being cancelled, a too frequent occurence lately unfortunately. I was able to see the hotel from the ship as we were docking and was impressed right off the bat at how pristine the beach looked. This was definitely a good indication of how this beach day would go the next day In this photo you can see the hotel and the beach just to the left of the cranes.

October 15 Allure of the Seas - Itinerary Change
BugsyCruiser replied to KLA's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
My allure sailing from November 2013 had an issue with one of the azipods but our itinerary was not affected (Western Caribbean). It happens.... Isn't the first time, won't be the last. Like KLA said sure it's disappointing at first but at least the sailings haven't been cancelled. One thing I learned is that when it comes to cruises I never book with my heart set on I have to go to this port. Things can happen and the itinerary gets changed and that's when you get the people who say my cruise has been ruined because I wanted to go to this island -
Allure and symphony head to Miami
BugsyCruiser replied to tonyfsu21's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I thought that too but then read on Facebook that they are doing major renovations to terminal 25, which is heavily used by Celebrity. In my humble opinion it would make more sense especially with Edge doing Sunday departures to have her sail from the best terminal at Port Everglades which is 18 -
No more ala carte at Sabor
BugsyCruiser replied to Wilson's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Will be interesting to see if it becomes a fixed cover charge fleet wide. Some of you know I liked the flat cover charge version on Liberty versus the ala carte version on Oasis class. The dining experience just seemed more inviting and the staff interacted with the patrons way more. That's no knock on the version they have on Oasis, but the Freedom and Voyager class version is so much better. -
Deluxe Drink package-purchase pre-cruise or on board?
BugsyCruiser replied to mscoug's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Definitely pre book the drink package. On board Liberty it was 450. And also watch for the sales on packages sometimes.... have seen up to 30 percent off on the drink package :) -
Love the name. Waiting to see if bookings open up for a Transatlantic.... I am very tempted to book

allure returns in 2026 All Things Galveston
BugsyCruiser replied to Galveston Steve's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Once again just wanted to thank Steve for the invaluable information he has posted here especially steering me clear of Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and instead having dinner at Ocean Grille and Beach Bar. Definitely a local place that should not be missed for dinner!- 965 replies

Casino: Has anyone won on their cruises?
BugsyCruiser replied to UkuleleCruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I almost always stick to slots. I do not play the max but play in the middle.... in other words if the minimum is 30 credits say on a 30 line slot machine and the max is 180, I'll play 90. I never play on anything higher than a 25 cent machine. I have never hit the big one but this last cruise aboard Liberty I came out 350 dollars ahead.
