  1. We stayed in 10727 on Harmony and the only downfall was the long walk to the elevators. No issue with noise from the boardwalk area. We also stayed in a central park balcony on deck 9 on Harmony, can't remember the room number, about 6-7 cabins down from the fwd elevators, and we found the noise quite a bit. Teenagers made quite a bit of noise down in the park area every night. Like 1-2am kinda timeframe. We also found that you could hear the pool deck crew cleaning and moving chairs overnight/early morning, even way down on deck 9. You won't get that out in the boardwalk area. After being in the central park area a few times, and boardwalk only once, I would def go back to a boardwalk balcony over the central park balcony.
  2. It's finicky, sometimes the iMessages go through instantly, sometimes a long while later and sometimes not at all. We've messaged folks back home before. We don't rely on it it nor buy the internet plan, so if the iMessages work while we're onboard we just roll with it, if not we just wait for port day as we have international roaming. No real hack to my knowledge, just connect to the ship wifi and sometimes iMessages will go through.
  3. When we sailed on Harmony back in early Aug, we did the self carry luggage to get off the ship earlier due to a midday flight from IAH. It took approx 10 mins for Uber to even connect us to a driver, and then a 20min wait for the driver to get to the port. The driver was two blocks away and suddenly canceled the ride on us. We then used Lyft, got a driver within minutes and was quite a bit cheaper.
  4. Just reached platinum. Was anybody else excited to get the use of robes as I am? Can't wait for the next cruise to avail of them.
  5. On our cruise a couple weeks ago we had selected MTD and then reserved 7pm each night through the CP. When we got the seapass cards at the room on embarkation day we noticed they assigned us to the 6:45pm seating in the MTD room instead, same table and waiters each night. This is the third seating that's been discussed here lately. But it wasn't a selection at time of booking. Perhaps they seen that I reserved 7pm for each night and decided to give us that time and table. We were fine with it, was only 15 mins earlier and you didn't have to show up exactly 6:45. Was nice to walk on in past those huge lineups though haha. Even the line for "guests with reservations" was long most nights.
  6. Show reservations for Harmony Aug 11th sailing opened Friday past, 51 days out.
  7. Trying to make the DBP more appealing to the Diamond and above members. Personally, I wouldn't even buy the package, unless it was much more cheaper. 4 free drinks each would be plenty for us. Even if we needed to buy a couple al la carte here and there.
  8. Just a note, you don't need to link reservations to connect on the chat feature on the app. You can just look them up on the app once you're onboard and ask them to join the chat. They will get a message requiring them to confirm, and voila.
  9. Ditto. Was exactly our experience as well. Took the train from Rome to Civi and then the shuttle to the port. Zero issues at all. Do a google search as well, plenty of sites/blogs that will give you step by step details of what to do.
  10. Personally, we hated the Central Park balcony we had on Allure years ago. Was extremely hot due to lack of air circulation in the park area, keeping the outside air temp very high and the room AC hardly kept up. We even had maintenance look into the AC system several times because it just wasn't getting cool enough. It was at the point of keeping the drapes closed during the day to keep the room cool. But hey, we're from east coast Canada so anything above 23C is hot to us LOL. Regarding your balcony GTY, it will already be a neighborhood balcony which I don't believe there will be an option to upgrade to a central park balcony through the royal up program. But of course, you can call and pay the extra for the room change to a pick your own room CP balcony. We tried a boardwalk balcony on Harmony last year and found it much better. Just keep in mind that there are rooms directly across from yours and could easily look right into the room. Which of course, the same applies to CP area.
  11. Carambola was fantastic! But we didn't book through RC, we just walked off the pier and booked directly with the operators. Saved some cash that way.
  12. Correct, I was lucky enough to snag 35% during the margarita day sale for our upcoming sailing on Harmony in August. Best discount I've ever seen.
