  1. I believe it is only for cruises for 6 nights or more now Also you're only given one tail with the option to purchase more.
  2. Congrats! From what I heard, anything within reason is not off-limits. Want a bottle of your favorite wine or liquor waiting in your room every night? You got it. You want prime rib from Chops in-suite every night? No big deal. Meet the Capt? You betcha! You may even get to pilot the ship
  3. You have all the luck that I'm missing! Congrats!! haha Normally my bank roll is $500 or less, so I'll probably never benefit from Casino Royale points. I currently have a $50 off a cruise from them right now haha
  4. I hate to be "that guy", but there is no strategy with any slots or electronic games. Your fate is sealed once you hit the button or pull the arm. A chip called a random number generator decides if you won, how much you won and all the literal bells and whistles are to keep your attention. But I agree with what Matt said, if you want to learn how to make a specific amount, just ask the casino host, they will GLADLY help you part with your money. Signed, A sore casino loser
  5. Usually between the English Pub, the pizza place, and the Schooner bar
  6. I'm not trying to start the "tip debate", but aren't they RC employees who are already getting gratuities from the ship? I bring cash anyway (we actually got a deal on a beach bed in Labadee, so we'll have a waiter/waitress/attendant), but just curious if they're covered in the grats.
  7. Thanks for this! I'm excited about exploring a new port area that isn't like Costa Maya or Cozumel. Cozumel isn't horrible but Costa Maya? Sheesh.
  8. Satellite comms is very location-dependent. It can depend on a multitude of factors including ship's heading, course, how far you are away from the VOOM wifi router, and even clouds can cause disruptions. Our last cruise on Voyager, internet service was great in the promenade and on deck, but awful in our suite on Deck 12 forward. It was really good in the library as well.
  9. This sign would've been float tested if I had seen it :)
  10. Join the Navy/Coast Guard -- you'll get plenty of stormy days
  11. yes but they last for ten years or something. Pay once, cry once.
  12. I'm sure some of you are aware that the TXDPS (Driver's license) system has been down for over a week now. I've seen multiple posts on Facebook complaining that they cannot get on board due to their license being expired, but "they had an appointment but it got cancelled". Get your passport. It's not that expensive, and makes things 100% easier. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
  13. Great job man! I was a competitive powerlifter over the past few years before a serious injury. Bodybuilders are built different and I have all the respect for yall haha. FYI you're gonna have to go sideways in some of the doors to get thru them on the ship
  14. I don't lock my luggage but you're going to have to figure out how to smuggle those guns attached to your shoulders on board!
  15. We sailed Grandeur on our first cruise last year (my wife and I, no kids) and we loved it! She's the oldest and smallest ship in the fleet and shows her age in some places, but we loved the crew, food and atmosphere. It's also great because you can embark/disembark a lot easier than on one of the bigger ships. I personally enjoyed sailing on Grandeur better than Voyager (the only two ships I've been on, so I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself will post). Personally, I won't even consider an Oasis class at the moment because I'd be so overwhelmed with the amount of things to do, fear of missing out, and being around that many people all the time. We stayed in an aft junior suite on Grandeur (8588 if I'm remembering correctly) and it was amazing. Huge balcony, amazing sailaway views, and our cabin attendant was very nice. All the bars on Grandeur were a lot of fun and there was always SOMETHING to do. We played a lot of trivia and my wife won Sudoku challenge every day of the trip, lol. So if you're wanting a traditional cruising experience with way less bells and whistles, Grandeur will be for you. I'm sure it's very similar to Vision OTS
  16. I'm a logistic coordinator for Target and we have a few stores down there (Galveston and League City to name a few!) As of this morning, ALL MAINLANES ARE OPEN! TXDOT finished their work earlier than anticipated
  17. Super excited about this cruise! This will be our third cruise and first that didn't leave Galveston. First time visiting all the ports (Labadee, Puerto Plata and Coco Cay!). Looking forward to meeting you all.
  18. We were on a five day in June and these were the theme nights: Day 1: Caribbean night Day 2: Formal/dress your best Day 3: White night Day 4: 70s Day 5: Casual (there may have been a theme but I do not remember..) Here is a link to Voyager's cruise compass from 6/22/23. Hope this helps!
  19. See, I had the exact opposite experience on Voyager in June. The food was good (breakfast and lunch moreso than dinner). The service in the MDR, especially at dinner, was awful. We had one lunch that took well over an hour on a sea day as well.
  20. Voyager is offering a couple of 5 Day cruises out of Galveston with an overnight stay in Cozumel. I agree, I like the idea. It gives people who want to make the trek to Tulum or Chichen Itza more time for that activity
  21. Sounds like Kareem needs some lithium and/or a good pop in the mouth with a fist.
  22. Do you have a passport? If so, it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure how RCI treats temporary IDs.
