  1. Did manage to reprice my Refreshment Package and Excursion for my December trip saving me about $60. Not a huge savings, but every penny counts. I bought Refreshment Packages and Excursions for my March Trip for Spring break with the kids -- As a party of 5 on that trip, good savings for that one.
  2. I am having trouble too . Not that I had terrible prices before, I just want the even better prices now.
  3. There are some limits to the "30" day rule. I booked through next cruise onboard using my casino comp and forgot to attach my travel agent because we were in a rush to disembark. I tried adding my travel agent immediately after I got home and got the following response: "Please be advised that your request to transfer reservation #XXXXXXXX to be serviced by XXXXXXXXXXX located at XXXXXXXX has been denied due to the reason(s) noted below which go against our reservation transfer policies: Casino Rate Pricing Applied We apologize for the inconvenience."
  4. I don't think anybody really "wants" to travel without a passport, but circumstances may make it difficult or impossible for some to obtain a passport through normal means because of either timing or issues outside of their control. If you do plan on traveling out of country, at least have your Birth Certificate, State issued ID and an understanding that it is going to take, both time and money, to work out getting home during an emergency. There is a good chance that during an emergency, you will have to get an "emergency" one-way passport issued from the embassy or consulate wherever you are and will have to pay for your personal expenses while you are waiting for that process to happen.
  5. They have a phone number on their "contact us" page, you could try calling them. Tell them you are rich and want to book Grand Suites on several Back to Backs, I am sure they will get back to you quickly.
  6. If they would offer a faster "business / media tier", I would be all over it if it allowed me to work from the cruise ship. I work remotely as it is but require high speed internet to be able to work -- a lot more than simple video conferencing or file sharing. I have a lot of Casino Comp offers I have turned down because I just don't have enough vacation time to use them. I would not mind if some of my "vacations" turned into "working from exotic locations" if it allowed me more time at sea.
  7. I have used EZ parking before, but that was with the old terminal as they were basically just across the street. I would drop off my wife at the terminal, park, and then walk over for about $75. But it looks like their prices went up recently and that they had a lot of provisions / disclaimers on their shuttle service to the new terminal, that I decided to just park at the new terminal.
  8. Check your credit card benefits as you might already be covered. My AMEX card has travel insurance if I purchase the trip with it. I have never had to use it, but I do know people that have and were happy with it. Apart from having to submit proof and documentation for an incident, they had no issue with AMEX covering and reimbursing them for both the trip and medical expenses.
  9. I have never been able to use the website for complex family arrangements. I have called into their reservations desk and they always helped work it out. However, I have since come to appreciate the benefits of having a TA and just work through him and let him sort it out.
  10. Excited for the new terminal. Question - I reserved a spot in the North Covered Parking for a tip on Adventure in December. How far of a walk will it be to the Terminal entrance from the parking lot? Asking because my wife has some mobility issues, but if it is a short walk, then we should be ok, otherwise, I will need to drop her off and then go park. Has anyone been able to gauge the walking distance yet?
  11. I do this too with my kids, both adult and teenagers, and my grandkids. They just use the app to register the trip. My adult kids even attach their own credit card to their sea pass through the app, so I don't have to worry about them running up my bill (I may pay for the trip, but they can pick up their own bar tab). The only difficult part is I get all their email updates about the cruise from Royal Caribbean sent to me and I have to forward them on to the adult kids.
  12. This is similar to what I bring with me (Different brand, but same concept and layout) to charge cell phones, tablets, and my laptop. I have never had a problem with it in my luggage. I bought it at Target for about $12 if I recall correctly.
  13. We are big fans too. Embarking in a "special group", being able to drop off carry-ons, and a more relaxed disembarkation is actually a big help for my wife and I as she has some mobility issues. The lunch after boarding is also a good benefit for us for the same reasons and my wife does not have to fight in lines or for a place to sit in the buffet. Also, not having to rush to shows and looking for a seat is good for us too. For us as a couple, it works, and I am usually able to get it for about $22-$25.
  14. My experience has been port side too. On the pool deck and sometimes on lower decks outside.
  15. We had paper menus on our cruise last month. There was a QR code on the table, but the wait staff always gave us menus as we were seated.
  16. A little more expensive, not too much more, but they also limited in numbers. Many times, they are already taken when I want to book, so I don't stress out about it and just book rooms next to each other.
  17. That has been my experience. I call in to book when traveling with the kids. I tell them that I have teens and would like rooms next to each other. Me and my wife in one room, and the kids in the other. Pro tip, if you get two adjoining balcony rooms, you can ask them to remove the partition on the balcony and have it span both rooms. We usually do this instead of trying to get connecting rooms. We just go back and forth on the balcony between the rooms.
  18. I have a trip I am paying for with my wife and kids during spring break in March. I booked with RC directly on this cruise and I have broken the payments down so I could pay them all with my AMEX card and get the travel insurance, points, and benefits that come with using the card. I do this all online on RC's website and just specify my payment amount each time. Defiantly a little more work than if I had used a different card with a higher limit or just paid with my debit card (I have the cash as this was a planned vacation), but well worth it in the long run for me because of the card benefits.
  19. We sailed on Grandeur last month and had a wonderful time. I originally booked and inside cabin because that was really all that was available at the time I originally booked. However, I kept an eye on the inventory and about a week before the sail date, lots of staterooms reserved for larger parties opened up. I called my travel agent and was able to upgrade from a standard interior room to a "Spacious Ocean View" room on deck 8 for a good price. It was a larger room (normally up to 4 people) with a huge window. My wife and I loved it and enjoyed the extra space. I would defiantly recommend looking into this as an option if you are already comparing JS and Balcony rooms. It may not have the balcony, but it has a lot of room and a great view.
  20. I have noticed the prices jumping too. I have gone so far as to keep a spreadsheet of what I purchase and check them every so often to get the best price. I have 3 cruises planned and they all have different planner prices, so the spreadsheet helps. I canceled and rebooked a shore excursion today saving me about 7% from the original price I paid. I have the Key too and am waiting for it to drop too (if it does). The only challenge with doing it this way is that I have to wait a couple of weeks for the canceled package to be refunded to my credit card, but 7% is a good return rate for 14 days of waiting for the refund.
