  1. It's a sign from the obstructed room gods!!!!
  2. Schedule is now up in the RC app! You can't add it to your calendar yet, but it gives you a good idea of when everything is happening (e.g. Flow Rider times, theme nights in the MDR, 80s night, art auction, etc.).
  3. I LOVE curry. Spouse made it for me on my first birthday when we were dating. It will always be special to me (and delicious!). We too have a great Indian place with a lunch buffet near us. Love it. The irony is it's right beside a running store. Eat then run? Probably better the other way around... There's another one, just a few miles from my house that I haven't been to yet but I have heard that it is quite $$$$$$$$.
  4. It seems to be a thing in the Caribbean countries to prefer cash payments. It seems weird to us Americans, I know, but it's totally legitimate. Our best tour ever in Cozumel was cash only, and I would do that again in a heartbeat.
  5. That's not fair. @tonyfsu21 prefers being at the port early, even if it means waiting there longer to board. Nothing wrong with that. Each of us has our quirks, and that's okay.
  6. Tamper. I love that you refer to Tampa that way, like it's something to be messed with. Do you typically do a room change for a B2B, or is this an upgrade?
  7. I did not know I could rate something so highly. I'm going to start using this rating scale for things that I epically enjoy.
  8. It's why I've downloaded the port schedule for LA just to appease my impatience. At least I know now when the sailings will be and can plan for what I want!
  9. I've always been curious about The Quest...and now I realize it should probably just remain curiosity.

  11. We did the laundry service on our 2010 Alaska cruise , and for years afterwards, we would still find tags on random items. It amused us greatly. Glad to know we're not the only ones to forget to take off those tags!

  13. I laughed so hard at this description Spouse came running over to make sure I was okay. I shall now always think of the hot tubs as "stock pots" and continue to call the pools "people soup."
  14. I LOVE this itinerary idea! Astoria is on my bucket list of places to visit someday. It's one of the reasons I keep my eye on the west coast repositioning cruises to see if one might fit my schedule some time.
  15. Virgin's Scarlet Lady looks to be making a trip to the West Coast too in summer 2025
  16. I looked further into the port schedule than what's shown with the article. Quantum starts in October with some 3- and 4-night cruises, but it also has a healthy mix of 5-6 night cruises too. Most of the Quantum cruises also list Cabo San Lucas as a port destination, something I'm very excited for. Navigator appears to have an 8-night cruise in mid-November 2025 - that sounds great too. (where I am finding this? https://www.portsamerica.com/our-services/cruise-los-angeles-terminal-schedule)
  17. Also, looking more in depth at the port schedule, it looks like MSC will have a ship in LA starting October 2025 as well (Bellissima).
  18. Is anyone else super excited that LA is potentially getting another ship?!?!?!?? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/02/21/spotted-royal-caribbean-will-add-second-cruise-ship-los-angeles I swear I'm not dancing
  19. Hahahaha, don't come to my house then, I put in raisins AND cranberries!!!!! #mincemeatwannabe
  20. For the excursion that we selected, no. I did not see any water sports or parasailing at Turquoise Bay. Hope this helps!
  21. @AlmondFarmer - 19 lbs gain in one week? That is impressive. I will take the record for the opposite direction - I lost 10 lbs on a 14-night Alaska cruise. Morning sickness + seasickness = great weight loss plan.
  22. I'm going to guess it's a plug-in disco ball.
