  1. I thought I added this already, but not seeing the post, so I guess not... July 18- Liberty
  2. They only take a small amount of reservations before hand- they aren't actually sold out, just sold out for now... once you board you'll see them be available again on the app. Like Ashley mentions above, you'll get into the shows even without reservations, you just stand in line an extra few minutes. You'll be fine, don't stress over it and get ready to have a great cruise!!
  3. @Ditchdocsee my comment about the app...no more waiting to look at them. Now you can see them right after they're taken and pick the ones you want as you see them. Saving all that time at the photo kiosk!
  4. I think most people who take them back to the room end up keeping them.
  5. The staff that help take care of Central Park on Oasis told us they have been trying to get signs to ban it in CP, but Royal hasn't done anything about it as of yet. They told me kids (and adults) climb through the trees, reach in and ruffle through the bushes and trample plants. So they may not ban it altogether, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some restrictions eventually.
  6. My son and I got those snorkel masks for our two PDCC trips last year- he loved it. He hated the mouth piece on a regular snorkel mask, but these things had him face down in the water for hours in PDCC and Cozumel last year!
  7. Now You can even look at them directly on the app right after they are taken. Zip line, rock wall, carousel,...stuff like that. We saw them quite a bit in the evening around the mini golf and rock walls, you'll see them just roaming the promenade and up on the decks...you'll see them as soon as you get off the ship at the ports and roaming Coco cay....
  8. Just a side note, as someone who doesn't buy the pics, I still enjoyed taking a few candid ones around the ship when the photographers popped up- me and my kid playing mini golf, the family in the boarding terminal, hanging out at playmakers.... never even went to look at them before, but now you can look at the photos right after they are taken right in the app. So that was cool- I'd look at them on the app, then still not buy them- BUT it'll save you a lot of time down the line if you are buying them, you can check them out as they are taken instead of going at the end of the cruise and scrolling through them all.
  9. That, and I HAVE to fly to a good resort. I can drive to the ports and save a lot of money doing it
  10. Now you have me 2nd guessing looking at resorts for our next family vacation... we LOVE cruising, but started looking at some of the AI resorts to something a little different. But I do find myself constantly going back to the cruise line websites, lol
  11. I LOVE the Oasis class ships and feel the crowding is at a minimal due to the amount of activities and areas to congregate. So over crowding hasn't really been an issue to me, BUT I will agree, and have brought this up in other forums and platforms- the lack of ocean views and connectivity to the water is definitely lacking. The fact that you can't see the ocean from the bars and lounges, or the restaurants and even the promenade unless you go out to the running track, is something they really seemed to have dropped the ball on. The Older\smaller ships have windows in the Schooner bar and most of the restaurants, along the promenade areas....so you can see outside, Oasis does not. It does look like they opened it up some more on Icon, especially with that giant window on the side. And the Quantum class ships have the lounge in the back with a great view. I am a huge fan of Oasis, and the lack of interior views is really my only critique.
  12. But the OP still makes a good point- it's definitely not designed great if you have kids of varying ages, but I'm sure it's great if you are just adults, OR have one or two kids in the same age range.
  13. I highly doubt they are removing people for a first offense of smoking- most of the time they don't even respond to reports of smoking. So either it was more than just cigarette smoke OR someone reported it over and over until security finally caved and came by. Hell, our room attendant saw my wifes cigarettes on the table and told her "if you smoke on the balcony, just make sure the neighbors aren't out and keep the butts in an empty can and not over the side" Of course, my wife only smoked in the designated area, but were definitely thrown off that the room attendant even suggested it!
  14. Have you tried to use it for anything else? I wonder if since it's OBC... "on board credit" they are being literal and only allowing you to use it for on board items or excursions and not post-cruise items??
  15. Cool, we are doing DR in December and planned on just staying around the port, but will definitely check into this, as well! Looked like you two had a blast!!
  16. Thanks for that! We did Blue lagoon back it October, but just did the beach break which DID include lunch which was actually pretty good. Lucky you brought your own water, as I bought 2 bottles from the bar and it was like 12 bucks or something like that. We are sailing Liberty for the first time in a few months, so I appreciate the little review of the ship, as well.
  17. That I don't know, but on Oasis there were always the free drink dispensers right next to the freestyle machines, usually one or two filled with water and one with a juice or lemonade
  18. We had him last January on Oasis..he was awesome. I swore he had a twin, he was EVERYWHERE. I'd see him up on the pool deck doing a contest then an hour later he was in the promenade just talking to people, then up on the platform for 70's night...hosted every show we went to. The man is definitely one you notice! We had Elvis the 2nd time, he was pretty funny at the two shows we did (Love and Marriage and Quest) but he wasn't around quite as much as Ricky, he seemed to have an "activities director" who did a lot of the smaller things like pool side games and trivias
  19. Cape liberty has nothing scheduled past Feb 2026, which is also the the last 3 Odyssey has scheduled at this point. I'd think later this year, maybe October\November we may see more of 2026 dates pop up.
  20. We've gotten OV Balcony rooms for 3..... the couch opens up into a nice sized bed. Definitely not as many as 2 and 4 people rooms, but you see a few on each deck.
  21. I'd never get the family out of the room! lol... My wife and kid can sleep like rocks, I have that internal alarm so I'm up at the crack of dawn either way... but man would it be a battle for me to get them up and out without the old pulling the curtain back trick I use at every hotel!
  22. That window means the world... I originally booked Interior for my next one and my wife starting getting all weird about not getting any light from the outside, so we "upgraded" to an OV GTY... now she's just been anxious to find out where our room is, lol.
  23. Awww yeah... my favorite adventures... @Ampurp85, Mom and brother!
