CaitlynRC got a reaction from JohnK6404 in Repricing 3 night dining package if sold out
I had the same issue as JohK6404. Website indicated it at $180NZD (we booked it at $201) so we cancel only for it to go "Oh ship!" We had so go through a whole thing to get customer service to give it back to us at the price we originally paid. It went back to a higher price for a day or so before dropping back to $180 but it says "sold out".
I wouldn't take the risk if it says sold out, at least not if you are ok with the price you paid already.

This sounds like a training issue for the staff that you ran into.  There are likely many people onboard that have struggled with alcohol addiction in the past and choose not to drink anymore.  The bartenders should know not to pester or even make comments when adults order virgin beverages.  You did the right thing by noting it on the survey.  Hopefully that will make it to the right people.

We just got off the Oasis of the Seas for the May 8th sailing. I did note this on the RC survey, but just wanted to see if anyone else here has experienced bartenders shaming you for not drinking alcohol. We got the refreshment package and while most of the time we had no issues, toward the end of the cruise, I asked for a Lime & Coconut with zero alcohol and the bartender kind of badgered me about it. I was like, "I have a refreshment package, I don't drink alcohol" and he was like, "Really? You want virgin? No, come on." Made me feel a bit weird. I don't drink since I don't like alcohol, so...just give me my drink and don't try to make me feel like I'm a terrible person, okay? This happened two more times toward the end with different bartenders. Is this normal?

I've heard 9 months, and I've heard 6 months in advance of sail date. I have a Feb 2023 cruise booked, and all I have in my cruise planner is dining packages right now.  I check it every few days just in case (also want to book early).

I am a planner.  I have two cruises booked; one in June 2023 and the other in September 2023.  Nothing is available to be booked on the cruise planner.  Does anyone know when RCL will open up for booking drink packages, excursions, etc?
I subscribe to the book early and check for price drops theory. 🙂

People can bring trunks with them? Don't tell my wife. I've finally got her down to 2 suitcases for our 7 night cruises. 😄

No menu posted outside the entrance. Sometimes they might display the theme or a nightly "action station". Example might be Mongolian, where you select vegetables and a meat and they stir-fry it to order.
Sometimes the app might post the theme for the night. While the app might not post the nightly theme, the paper version of the Cruise Compass normally will.
Keep in mind the theme only covers a small portion. Just because it is Italian night doesn't mean every dish is going to be Italian.

In a nutshell, no menu along the lines of a listing of everything offered for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

    Welcome!
You are correct. You can do all of this in the planner or over the phone. It will take 7 to 10 days to get the refund. One piece of advice,  if cancelling something that has a limited quantity (Cabana, Thrill Water park, etc.) use the phone. You could cancel in the planner and have someone scoop your spot. Drink packages don't run out, so no worries.
If you are comfortable putting your next cruise in the signature it is helpful to answer questions.
    Enjoy!

Hi all, new to cruising. Just wondering how the drink packages, speciality dining ect works? I know it can be bought and canceled for reprising but how does this work exactly?
Am I buying it for X price and pay that right there?
If I cancel and rebuy at lower price, do I pay Y amount and get X amount back at a later stage?
    Thanks in advance
