  1. Good idea, I just have other hobbies I travel for unfortunately, and with kids, well it's only so much time I want to be away, which isn't much!
  2. Well, found out the hard way that the offer was if you booked prior to september 2021(which I did and I think that's when the agent said), BUT you also have to be a gold member or higher as well. It was my first official cruise with Royal, as I have cruised a chartered Royal but not Royal so I miss out. Was hoping to go directly to platinum . Sailed an 8 night allure in suite so got my 16 and not the 32 I anticipated. Now, how to convince wife who doesn't nearly enjoy cruising as much as I do to book again
  3. If you are in a sky class suite or higher your concierge will reach out a week prior and you can reserve then instead of once you get on a ship. May be something to think about if you aren't about royal up. Plus sky class gets you Coastal kitchen, beer/wine/soda 11-11, 5-8 happy hour with cocktails. Many other benefits too. Just a thought, also remember on ship any specialty dining you can reserve if you are at say 150 central, and want to reserve izumi or chops you can usually from what I read and hear at 150 central.
  4. It's not by chance one of the OSU Buckeye Cruise for Cancer is it?
  5. Thanks all again for the input looking forward to checking it out, a few times for me, and it seems like wife determined to everyday if she can!
  6. I'm sailing 3/19 2BR GS on Allure, and my concierge email does show wine and beer 11-11 in lounge.
  7. Really is. Feel they are more lax with it vs a DL too.
  8. So sad, its ashame people think they have to end it this way, or to be crazy enough to think they would survive.
  9. Doing a closed loop 8 night with Allure 3/19. Do either of these work at port everglades, or is it not even worth bringing card with me?
  10. yeah forgot about that. I don't have on phone and Royal blocks vpn usage too right?
  11. Hey see you on the roll call, I have the internet package and peacock, if it's not playing anywhere and family is tied up maybe we could meet and watch via phone stream on peacock? Otherwise maybe playmakers would have it on? PM me if ya want, if I can help and get away from fam for a bit I'm down. Used to race motorcross, drag bikes etc. Father used to own a dealership for 40+ years and he's still hooked, I moved to motorsports and racing cars since having kids.
  12. 15th street fisheries is close, and pretty good...they have an upstairs smart casual, then a more casual downstairs area. https://www.15streetfisheries.com/upstairs-dinner
  13. I believe you can do this monthly or so, Just reordered more myself.
  14. Ouch that's a bummer but seems pretty stand up of NCL other than the non passport item already brought up. Our 3/19 Allure was rerouted from Puerto Plata, DR to San Juan, PR. Wonder if the shallow channel was partially to do with the reroute?
  15. First off don't kill me I'm just the messenger, my wife has been on a super health kick. I'm going to focus on 12oz curls . So we have an 8 night Allure in a few days. I see the unlimited pass online at 69. I go to purchase for her and 39 for me for the 3 night. Well system glitches. I call in to RCCS and they state its 118 for unlimited for her and 48 I think it was for me! 2 questions, how much per class if we just pay per class usually? Second, is it worth it to get a package? Thanks, We have 4 port days one including cococay, which we booked thrill island, and have excursions on the others. I don't want to spend money if she ultimately doesn't use it, and 118 for one week of classes on a cruise seems excessive to me? Thank you for your help and guidance as always!
  16. These are all great tips, looking forward to all of this next week!
  17. Sorry for many questions trying to research prior to posting, and also watched dozens and dozens of Matt's videos on youtube. Just got the email showing smart casual for the area, no problem for eating meals, however my question is throughout the day I planned on getting soda, and drinks while lounging at the pool and around the ship. It said no swimsuits are allowed, but if I were in swim trunks (not wet), a shirt and say leather sandals, and spouse was in a coverup etc., is that sufficient to go in and just grab a quick drink to take and leave, or will they deny entry?
  18. Hey all 3/19 going on Allure and have yet to hear from the concierge. Anyone know who it is? We are booked sky class in a 2BR GS, and I am main contact. Getting lots of emails from Royal just nothing in regards to concierge. Anyone have the emails for them? I have seen the oasis one floating around but not the Allure. Feel free to private message me too if it's better that way. Looking for insight, I'm on hold with RCCS as well with not high hopes on an answer lol. Thank You!
  19. Thank you, interesting they used different in both. Thanks all again for your input!
  20. Thanks for all the input, I think it's reasonable to just use what is on ship then, other than body lotion.
  21. Hello we are sailing soon on Allure in a 2BR GS. This does come with body lotion, conditioner, body wash, and shampoo? #2 if it does, is it sufficient or good enough for wife not to bring her own shampoo/conditioner? TIA
  22. So I know there is only a $10 cover charge, but my kids are not traditional in the sense they like usually adult entrees over the kids menu. Will they be able to order off the main menu with just the $10 cover charge? TIA
  23. I don't doubt many have earned significant rewards, but in today's day and age 2% on a propietary purchase and 1% on everything else is not high. Several cards offer flat 2% cash back which you could invest and make more, although other cards that offer way more points than just 2%. Some hotel cards give over 6x points when spending with them and 3% on select categories for example, plus status upgrades and credits towards the loyalty status. Guess I can just dream lol.
  24. my kids are around 60lbs will they get turned away for being too small? They are very light for their respective ages 8 and 10.
