  1. $15/day for the port correct? Way cheaper than Port Canaveral was for us.
  2. Thank you for that information. We were wondering how this all worked. How do you know if RCCL has you listed as in a relationship?
  3. We were going to be so good last time. Yeah, didn't happen. Next trip we are planning on just enjoying it. We will still go to the gym, try and make good choices, but the desserts at my weakness. I always order more than one, or two...
  4. Went ahead and booked some excursions there for May, we are planning to be there! We are also going to Curacao and Aruba and he's most excited about Labadee.
  5. It's a really nice thing to have on board, although I find the meeting times inconvenient. But when I need a meeting it's there. You can also meet others who you can reach out to on board if the meeting time isn't available and you need someone to talk to. We so enjoyed the last cruise I didn't go to a meeting, but there were times I was happy it was so large and we could leave the situation. I am a bartender as well as in recovery, so I thought I would be ok on board the ship. With our upcoming May cruise, it's 8 nights, so we shall see how that goes.
  6. Also keep an eye on the prices for the things you buy. If it goes for a lower rate you can always buy it at the cheaper amount by having your previous purchase canceled. I know this goes against your point in general, but figured I would throw that out there. I managed to get an awesome deal on the refreshment package 2 days before our last cruise (dropped significantly from what I had paid for it on the last "sale").
  7. I'm still in the same boat @Templecruiser. It appears it uses a reputation algorithm. I am guessing a factor including time + posts + reactions increases that reputation and once you hit a certain level it will remove moderation.
  8. In November and went to NextCruise. We got an amazing deal on our booking, plus OBC. I have been doing price checks regularly for our trip and it's currently 100-250 more per person for the fare with no OBC than we paid all inclusive (including gratuities). I think this is one of those things that may be hit-or-miss. But we were happy with the booking process.
  9. Interesting that they didn't mention the sailings that are still for sale in March/April and skip right to November. Not that it means anything, just interesting.
  10. Yup, there is a double standard for the cruise industry and it sucks. But... you can't trace a positive case back to the theme parks, WWE event, or NFL game; at least not with any certainty. They have that major advantage over cruises.
  11. They absolutely won't be taken by the cruise, since they are self administered with no proctor. These are exactly what you mentioned: for potential exposure in your daily life.
  12. I also have a new cruise planner now for my upcoming cruise, and have noticed the verbiage shifting.
  13. We had the soda package and it was a pain in the you-know-what to get refills in the MDR. We tried to order them 2 at a time because it took so long to get a refill, but they wouldn't even let us do that because they were only permitted to get "one at a time on our SeaPass cards". I'm trying to think of an alternative for our next cruise. If you like coffee and soda, get the package. We did the math on the soda and coffee we drank and we definitely won on that one. One waiter we had did give us the two at a time, but I'm not sure what he did differently. And we tipped him well @PG Cruiserwe are also big Coke Zero fans here!
  14. It's a worldwide issue at this point, it's the global supply chain that is disrupted. Just do a news search for any country and "supply chain issue" and you'll see.
  15. Oh, and Brilliance, Liberty and Spectrum are in the app but don't allow app check in.
  16. It is not listed as a ship that has it yet: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/royal-app
  17. Just told the SO yesterday about it, and we are hoping by May it's a go. Trying not to get our hopes up too much, but it's a nice bit of news.
  18. Everyone already knew the omicron wave was going to be over before they got these things out. They aren't going to be good for travel or any formal needs. Just basically a test "so ya know". Reliability is going to be questionable as well. But, it could work to kind of give you an idea of what your status is before you spend money for a pre-cruise test for example.
  19. I'd just like to also point out, wearing masks in that environment wasn't really gonna help out at all. There was never going to be social distancing on that ship as that style cruise is not geared towards people distancing at all if you catch my drift.
  20. As a member of this community, I am not surprised in the least. That's absolutely insane. Also, it appears this is current photo. I can see from the photo by zooming in some people are wearing masks.
  21. Going to be on Allure on May 14, 2022
  22. I'd take it as a good thing. By then this omicron wave will have passed and that ship will be ready to go! I am trying to keep positive thoughts going, even after hearing story after story.
  23. We watched them the night before and got the check mark that said completed.
