  1. Okay, I buy the 3 meal deal. The first meal must be a courtesy reservation on day 1 or 2 (my case they gave me day 2 at 5:30 pm). Fine so far. But nowhere on my account does it say which of the three specialty restaurants is reserved for me. How can I select my restaurant of choice (Izumis)?
  2. What is the lowest price anyone has seen for Chef’s Table lately? I have also heard that once onboard if CT sales are lagging you could get a lower price. True or false? Finally, does the pre cruise price for Chef’s Table include the 18% gratuity or would it be added to your account the day of?
  3. All righty then. Amazon just delivered The Stowaway based on what you guys said above. 10 days from now on the Odyssey. What is best upper deck reading spot on that ship?
  4. I will be on Odyssey this Easter Sunday. It was mentioned above that there may be a special menu in the MDR for Easter. Anyone care to comment on what such a menu has been in the past- rabbit!?!?
  5. So which is it? Book The Book or don’t book The Book?!?!?!
  6. Okay math time. If you are solo you get double points (2 x day). If you booked solo during the double points incentive, you get quadruple points (4 x day). If you Royal up on a solo booking that has double points already, as long as it is the same reservation number, you would get (8 x day) points?
  7. Just to clarify, if you get royaled up, you simply change rooms. You do not lose FCCs or OBCs associated with the original booking?
  8. You guys should know that the lobster is the garbage scow of the seas. It crawls around on the bottom eating only dead things. As a courtesy, if we ever dine together, I will bravely eat your lobster as a public service. You’re welcome!
  9. I registered but then was asked to pre-pay. Is this the same for you guys?
  10. Thanks for the response Matt. I have asked Royal directly as well but no answer yet. It is very unsettling to go on a cruise with such a question mark hanging over the end of the cruise/return to home plan.
  11. On return to port in Ft. Lauderdale on March 6th, we are required to have a negative PCR test in order to fly to Canada that afternoon. I have heard Royal offers this at the port for a fee. But I have also heard it is a sketchy setup. Has anyone had experience with this? What is the cost? How fast did you get the result? Would you trust this method? I don’t get why they won’t offer this service for a fee aboard the ship the day before disembarkation.
  12. Chops plus 1. Can the plus 1 be used for Wonderland (Odyssey of the sea)?
  13. Okay, next question. If you are diamond and travelling solo, do you get two days of free VOOM per cruise?
  14. C&A Diamond level get a day of Free WIFI. The question is whether this is one day per cruise or one day per week. Example, on a 14 day TA, would you get one or two days of free WIFI?
  15. Absolutely you can do this. I did the antigen test at Shoppers on the Friday, flew into Miami on the Saturday, sailed on Sunday. One test for flight and cruise requirements.
  16. Thank-you for the info. Yes flight leaves at 3 pm so if provided at the terminal they best be bloody quick!
  17. Hey Jansplan, how did you get the required PCR a test to enter Canada from Barbados?
  18. I am considering sailing on the GOTS out of Bridgetown, Barbados in March. As a Canadian, I must have a PCR test in order to fly back to Canada. Completely unfamiliar with Barbados. Does Royal provide these tests- for a fee- in the cruise terminal like they do elsewhere or do they provide it aboard the ship- for a fee- due to Barbados not being a regular port? Thanks for the answers.
  19. Thanks for the answers folks. Last question- can multiple FCCs be used on one future cruise or must they be spread out?
  20. I have a couple of FCCs from last fall but do not know where to find them on my Royal Carib profile. Where can I look to confirm they have been processed?
