Well there goes my vacation, can't even get one every other decade apparently.

This is the worst news I could have gotten. I already got the time off approved, I do not get paid vacations so I am losing out there and I lost out on my trip. I am thinking about just taking the refund and give up on cruising as I do not want to go through getting ready again just to get it canceled.

Thanks, I have some high hops. I made some plans, but mostly plan on going with the flow and just find some fun. If I don't do everything, then I have an excuse to book another cruise in the future.

Jan 23rd Jewel of the Seas, first cruise.

I sent mine off in November, it was accepted on the 22nd and then beginning of December it came in (I think it was the 9th)

Odd, I am on the same sailing and it let me put in a bid weeks ago.

Nice. I wanted to do something there, but the excisions did not sound interesting and overly expensive too. I might take the tram to sight see though likely that is all I'd do.

I have not planed anything on my trip there and was thinking of just doing something on my own. Though renting a scooter sounds interesting. Although a day pass with only a 30 minute limit does not sound like a day pass.

I am still unsure what I would want to wear. I was thinking nice dress pants and a collared polo shirt as I do not have a suit, have no idea how to even find the right size. I might go with a dress shirt with no jacket as for a tie, I don't have one and I have no idea how to put one on so that will be a pass for me.

That was what I saw too, nice to have a connection though I think I'll stick to data/text as calls are expensive.

I was able to put in a bid for my Jan 23 sailing today. I did not bid that much so i suspect I'll not win either the GS or JS I bid on, but at least I tried.

That sounds like good advice. My trip is on a 6 night cruise so the 3 night option sounds good. That would give me 3 nights in the specialty places and 3 nights in the MDR. It is currently $89 for the 3 night option, which sounds good to me. Right now I do not know if the Windjammer will be doing dinners on my trip as they do not list dinner hours.

With the sales going on right now I am thinking about doing some sort of specialty dining. I have got the key so I got the special Chops lunch, though I am thinking about getting one of the packages. Either the Chops+ 1 other option or the 3 night package. While the unlimited dining package is not a bad price at the moment there are a lot of options for dining that I am not sure it would be worth spending that much extra. With this being my first cruse I would like a second opinion. Would it be worth going for the 2 option, or 3 night package or something else?

That is fair enough. I personally like steak so the chops lunch sounds good.

I am unsure if RC will require a booster for sailing. I hope not though who knows.

It is just $2 more per day then the serf/stream internet package and it includes a few other items which I think is worth the extra $12 or so for me.

How can they run out on the first day? It sounds like they did not restock it before sailing off. Maybe they can pick some up at the next port?

The only problem I see with the PCR test is that it takes days and for me, too much of a risk in not getting through in time.

I think I will get a lanyard for mine. I was also thinking of keeping it in my wallet though it might be a bit silly to bring that around on the ship?

Not sure if the sale started yet, but the cost of the drink package went down from when I bought it so I canceled and rebooked it and saved just over $50. The Key too has gone down in price, which was a welcome surprise and I saved about $100 for rebooking both.

What kind of flavored water?

Jan 23 sailing and I am still listed to go to Cozumel. So I am unsure why your sailing is changed. I understand why, but I am still disappointed as I did wish to go to key west.
