  1. Solo cruiser here! Embrace the freedom. Don't worry about what YOU think others are thinking, they probably aren't even noticing you're solo. there are lots of ways to meet people on the ship or during an excursion, if that's what you want. but otherwise, just enjoy being with yourself.
  2. you can tell your room attendant ahead of time too, if you need to get off earlier due to a flight or if you want to get off later and not rush, right?
  3. Im in NY and I got the Resident NRD as well.
  4. ooooh thanks Ashley! this place looks nice.
  5. Should I not bother with Playa Mia excursion then and go for something like Mr. Sanchos? I'm looking for a less expensive option to lounge on the beach. Seems everything is extra once you get there.
  6. What is a simulated cruise, or test cruise?? And how do you get on one? Can you book it via RC as if it was a "regular" cruise?
  7. I'm referring to what RC would do if CDC added the kids vax.
  8. One would think that if the CDC made this a requirement on 11/1 (for example) that they would give people who are already booked to cruise in the month of November and probably December too, some leeway to get their kids doubly vaccinated. Any bookings after that time you would have to comply.
  9. Unvaccinated Americans to face tighter COVID testing requirements in new US travel system The U.S. will roll out a new travel system in two weeks that will open borders up for millions of vaccinated international visitors. The system launching Nov. 8 will end the U.S. travel ban that has been in place for dozens of countries since the start of the pandemic. It will also make reentry more challenging for unvaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents and establish stringent testing requirements for the rare unvaccinated foreign nationals allowed entry. "For anyone traveling to the United States who cannot demonstrate proof of full vaccination, they will have to produce documentation of a negative test within one day of departure," instead of the current three days, according to the White House. Fully vaccinated Americans will still have a three-day window for COVID-19 testing with negative results, but if they are not able to show proof of vaccination, they too will be subject to the one-day testing requirement.... 10. aaaah ok. Checking on Jewel right now. She's on her final Greece tour that ends on 10/30, then I gather it makes it way across the ocean, assuming passenger-less, to Miami. 16 days later, I pray it's ready for my trip.
  11. Additionally, as of November 1, 2021, the CSO will apply to only foreign-flagged cruise ships operating in U.S. waters, or outside of U.S. waters if the cruise ship operator intends for the ship to return to operating in international, interstate, or intrastate waterways, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. U.S-flagged cruise ship operators previously covered by the CSO may continue to participate on a voluntary basis. @Matt So for Jewel, which is now in Greece and not on the color-coded list yet, but is supposed to be coming back to Miami in November...(and has had some recent Covid cases)....Do I need to worry this ship could be flagged and restricted before my 11/15 cruise?
  12. 3 night. 116 was 50% off too. Would they ever offer more than 50% off? if that's the case, I may do the a la carte and use my 25% off onboard discount for those specialty ones.
  13. if we do get a booster shot before our next cruise, I assume it should be 14 days prior like the regular vax?
  14. When I'm on Freedom in February for 3 nights, I was wondering if I should get the UDP for the specialty restaurants; Cost $116 or $39 per night. Playmakers you got $20 credit. Izumi Hibachi included but +$10 fee. Is Johnny Rockets, Sorrento's and Ben and Jerry's complementary? But then I thought, wait, I got the Key for that trip and that includes: 25% off all onboard dining purchases, along with complimentary room service for the duration of your cruise. Can I assume that includes ALL DINING? So maybe I can already get a good discount eating out a la carte getting 25% off. Not sure if I'm going to get my $116 worth.
  15. Debating on whether to go for my Nov cruise. But you made it sound nice! Saw your video too @SarahBrown
