Hey Brian, your next cruise is on Anthem out of Bayonne, right? Are you parking in the cruise lot or another cheaper lot maybe? P.S. how weird we have the same Alt in our username. LOL

my 2/25 freedom cruise switched Nassau and Cococay early on. I can book for both days but they are backwards in the cruise planner. Try checking off both port days or ALL to get a full excursion list. But if they took Cococay off the list then that sux.

thanks! sure is convenient and easy, but I may investigate other local lots that are much cheaper that also have free shuttles to the cruise terminal. or if i can coax someone to drive me and pick me up a week later, i'll be set.

Stat Health / CityMD did mine. super easy and quick results. I also purchased the at home tests (proctored) as a backup. there are many Queens CityMD locations.

did you park in the cruise terminal lot or a nearby lot? I'm trying to figure out if i should drive and leave my car there for the $25 a day or try to find a cheaper lot near EWR or have someone drive me and drop me off.

I think some couples "feel sorry" for solo cruisers and invite us to sit with them. Sure sometimes, but sometimes I just want to be by myself.

Lower capacity - yes! Easy Muster drill - oh yeah! the most friendly and helpful crew (on Jewel)- loved it! But hopefully that is all ships and all year round not just 2021.

I am a solo cruiser! Was in Cozumel last month. Being solo on the ship is quite enjoyable. Having the freedom to just go do what you want when you want. Dining by oneself as a solo is quite common and you'll see other people doing it. Sometimes you'll meet a nice couple or group who will want to invite you to sit with them. Up to you how friendly you want to get. In Cozumel, I did Paradise Beach an all inclusive beach resort for the day. if you can find others to share a taxi with it will bring the cost down but the beach itself was very nice. and again, you can meet people there if you want.

I am also going to be on Oasis in May and would love to know what to try. I've done Giovannis and Izumi and Chops. I don't eat meat so the Portside BBQ place is probably not for me. Vintages Bar has tapas. Johnny Rockets maybe, Park Cafe, Sorrentos and El Loco Fresh are free so YES, Playmakers for the dessert. Heard 150 Central Park is a must try.

Had sea grass on the November cruise. Smell wasn't bad, it's just the way it ruins the look of the water and taking a dip at the beach.

I was WFH last year during the pandemic, but unfortunately my job requires me to come in especially lately with losing staff. So i'm trying to get a better job that is fully remote. I don't mind logging in when I wake up and logging out before I go to sleep because I'm home with my kitties. the only perks I find at the office are the 3 screens, and the ability to print and I'm probably more productive. I'm an introvert so the interaction with people is not really being missed.

for Gold and above. I was Pre-Gold for my first cruise with RC and my i didn't get double (other than as a solo).

thanks, yes i am referring to purchases on RC.com too, not onboard purchases. I actually see it now on the rewards page as Redeemed $350.. and it can take up to 90 days.
