Thanks! I'm kind of hoping they'll let my younger one in since we're going at an off-peak time, so I can't imagine there will be a ton of kids anyways.

We are booked on an 8night sailing on Enchantment in a Grand Suite November 2022. It'll be our first (and probably only) time sailing in a GS, but it was just too cheap to pass up to get the double points! Expectations are low for us - we're just looking for some time away, good food, and nice weather.

FYI… I’m J, her 15 year old.  I will also be posting updates. 

Before I continue with the daily food report (ha ha) I have a couple interesting tips and quirks about this room.  Despite being the newest ship in the fleet there is not an outlet on each side of the bed which surprises me.  There is a regular outlet on the left side of the bed and then on the right side there is no outlet on the wall but there is a phone and a lamp both plugged in.  Since that is “my” side of the bed I started moving furniture around yesterday to figure out where to plug my phone in at night since i use it as a clock.  After kind of unsuccessfully looking for the outlet (the bed really doesn’t move and the nightstand which I thought did move turns out is supposed to be kind of built in and a piece fell off.  Oops.) Well it turns out I finally figured out there is a small hidden USB port ON the phone that is sitting on the nightstand. You’re welcome 😉  The downstairs bedroom is another story.  No outlets or USB that I can find on either side of the bed.  I did find a pair of shorts that are not ours though on our search for one.
Next weird thing, I can’t find any kind of nightlight upstairs or a light switch that controls the lights ON the stairs.  I’ve been blocking off the stairs with a huge stack of the grossly unnecessary pile of pillows we have in the room to try to discourage my husband from sleepwalking down the stairs.  Always a concern for us when we have a room with stairs.  There is a nightlight in the downstairs bathroom and I have just been leaving the light on in the upstairs toilet room propped slightly open for a little light.  Since the bathroom upstairs is wide open to the bedroom there doesn’t seem to be a super easy solution if you want just a little light in the room to keep from tripping or anything.
Finally the really odd thing.  Since both showers have HUGE windows I assumed there would be some kind of curtain in case you were parked next to another ship or something.  Since no curtains were to be found we went outside both bathrooms to see if maybe there was a coating or anything to prevent people from being able to see in.  There isn’t.  I asked the room steward what happens if you want a shower and you are parked next to another ship and his reply was “it doesn’t happen very often”.   Hmm my showering or parking next to another ship lol.  So yesterday evening I waved as a small boat full of people drove right past the window as I was in the shower in Nassau.  Shower takers beware.  

Just came off the 6night Odyssey cruise, & yes the app was a little mixed up a few weeks back. but the lobster tail was on the menu day 5 Cozumel day. My DH and I both did the turf and surf (beef tenderloin and lobster tail) we did get a second tail. I saw a few others getting a second one. Its a little hard to see what others are getting (tables with people at them are a far away, {social distancing}) I think I saw 1 person getting a 3rd. The beef tenderloin was very good and the 2nd tail tasted better then the 1st one.
