So I am going out on the 31st on the Odyssey, and this was our third one I just filled out. When I called up RCL, they stated just keep on filling them out... it doesn't hurt. However it concerns be a bit, like they never got our vaccinated status in the first place.

So I keep on getting emails pertaining to our vaccine status. I filled out these surveys twice already, so do I keep on filling them out or can I safely ignore them?

I personally haven't found a way to get the invoice online. I would simply ask my TA if they can provide us with a RCL guest copy, which shows a breakdown on funds paid, people going, etc.

If that ever happens to us (getting the RoyalUP upgrade), I would bet the same. I maxed out our bid for the JS, however for the Grand Suite - 1 Bedroom and the Grand Suite - 2 Bedroom I couldn't go crazy. I am hopeful that since the ship is only 40-70% full, there is a higher chance that we will be upgraded.

So your best bet is to book it now and keep an eye on it from a price point of view. If you see something for a lower price, just call and cancel the more expensive option. Problem is that you will giving them $$$ to hold on to since the refund takes several weeks.

We were able to select a boarding time once we were able to check in. So we picked 1-130 PM since we are only a few minutes away from the port.

We normally add all the stuff we want in the cart, and then I print that out as a PDF. Every once in a awhile, I log in and view my cart and then compare the prices online and the PDF.

I wouldn't mind it, but since we have a 10 month old, and a 10 year old - I doubt I would get "approval" for that. Instead we are taking a shuttle service from the hotel to the pier.

They happen randomly. However it is known that they have sales around the big holidays - 4th July, Black Friday, etc.

The family and I are going to be staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. Its around 15 minutes from the pier and I got pretty good rates/used my points.

Thank you for this break down and answering some questions pertaining to the upgrade. While I don’t believe my RoyalUP will work this time around, going from balcony to a one bedroom Grand Suite, it’s good to see yours worked out.

Why go for the PCR test if you both were already vaccinated?

We are going to be departing on 7/31 (<20 days), and the online check-in is still not available for us. Wife is getting a bit nervous since they might cancel the sailing for the Odassy. Hopefully it will be available soon though.

Question about RoyalUP and credit cards. Lets say your card gets declined for any reason (wrong number, not enough funds, fraud protection), do you get a second change to put in a valid number/another card?

RoyalUp is a revenue stream, and personally I put in several bids to see if our cabin will get upgraded. I hope thats the case, but I don't mind it if we don't. Regarding the OBC - I never really considered it a factor in getting a cruise from a company/agent I trust. Personally I use ADCandT (Anne Atwater), and she has been great and very responsive.

I was hoping for The Key package on our 7/31 cruise out of Florida, however its no where to be found. I think that due to testing, and etc at the pier before we embark.

I guess I would feel better knowing how many of the unvaccinated are truly unvaccinated (ie adults), and not in the same predicament as we are. Even though the chances are small due to testing, protocols, and mask regulations - I just feel we are putting the children at a increased risk of getting it more with other people that are unvaccinated vs other people that are vaccinated (mainly during meal time). Before anyone says anything, I know technically we are in a big petri dish on a cruise ship anyway and even though they have increased the air circulation with X exchanges per hour it still bothers me.

I had to call to get the FCC from our cancelled 7/23 sailing out of Bayonne. It should have been ready on 7/2, but no email was sent.

We are sailing on 7/31 on the Odyssey. So we will also find out soon enough.

Has anyone sailed out of Florida and had children with them under the current vaccination age, but the parents were vaccinated? At the moment, you are unvaccinated by association, as the whole family (if together) will be considered unvaccinated and therefore limited in what you can do. I don't mind the bars as we will not be taking the kids there, but the shows and the restaurants timing could be annoying. We have two children, ages 10 years, and 10 months.

I wasn't aware of that. So in that case, it should be the same for them as well.
