  1. Feel your pain. I dumped CruCon for the same reasons and switched to Michelle at MEI. Great agent with outstanding response time to any questions or requests.
  2. I signed on with Michelle with MEI and am very pleased with our communication and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with many cruises in the future.
  3. Thanks to all for your input on this subject. Although I have enjoyed the OBC on past cruises I have to admit that each time I deal with CruCon it appears I am dealing with a different agent. I will take a serious look at MEI for this and future bookings. Again, I appreciate this forum and your input.
  4. In the past when I have made reservations directly with RCL I would transfer the reservation to CruCon travel agency who inturn would provide me with On Board Credits and some additional perks for the transfer. Generally these averaged up to 10% of the amount I had paid for the cruise. I recently made a transatlantic cruise reservation with RCL website and when I asked CruCon about the benefits of giving them the booking I was informed that they would provide 5% OBC of the price paid. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding a different agency that might do better than CruCon's offer? Thanks
  5. If Florida law prevents the cruise lines from asking for proof of vaccination for COVID within the state of Florida the cruise line could include a requirement when checking in online for your boarding pass and cruise documents for the passenger to send a photo or scan of their COVID Immunization record during the online process. This would suffice as proof and the cruise line would not be in a position to have to ask to see proof at boarding within Florida ports.
  6. Overnight train on AMTRAK. Regular Seats or sleeper cabins.
  7. Should be on Vision of the Seas Transatlantic from San Juan to Barcelona right now....Have to look forward to next cruise in April 2021 on Serenade from Sydney to Honolulu.
  8. Update. My travel agent called this morning to advise that they had moved up the chain of RCL management and secured a $300 OBC and bottle of wine. No where near meeting the difference in price however still appreciated. Love the Jr Suite on the aft of the ship and look forward to the cruise.
  9. Just had the same experience. I have a transatlantic coming up on Vision of the Seas from San Juan to Barcelona on April 25. The price for my Junior Suite has gone down just over 40 percent. When I called my travel agent he said he checked with RCL and was told that nothing could be done as I have passed my final payment date. The next suite level up still exceeds the original price I paid for my JS. I called the Crown and Anchor desk and confirmed that this is RCL policy. So bottom line, unless you catch a large price decrease prior to final payment date you are out of luck. Being diamond plus offered no additional assistance or relief with this situation.
  10. We have had daily mass performed by a priest onboard on 2 Transatlantic cruises and one Transpacific.
  11. Have stayed at the Hyatt Regency in the Orlando Airport. They DO have a pool on a top floor that is large and affords the opportunity to watch take offs and landings.
  12. Hilton Hotel Cocoa Beach is excellent and offers rates for parking and shuttle to and from the port.
  13. Totally agree. We just did this in April and were very pleased with both the Embassy Suites as well as the $15 per day parking at the port. Added suggestion, go to Southport Raw Bar for excellent seafood at reasonable prices within walking distance from Embassy Suites.
  14. Suggest you list your topic or question and not your name in the title of your post for more responses. Example: Can I bring an Iron on board?
  15. We sailed on the Serenade on 15 April and it left from Pier 25. I parked in the multi level parking garage. When we returned 11 days later it docked at pier 18, which is a bit of a distance from the multi level garage. There was a free shuttle van waiting as you exited baggage claim that took us to the multi level parking garage so it worked out well. If you know your ship returns to Pier 18, go ahead and use the lot closest to you.
