  1. Late Neutral I wouldn't mind having the room refreshed during the night time since during the day I would mess it up anyway. I usually take my showers in the morning so this shouldn't be an issue. If I need to dry my towels for whatever reason... I can hang them out to dry on the balcony.
  2. I liked that little strip of land and personally I like to leave nature the way it is. However in the end its about money and income for Bahamas.
  3. The wife, and I toyed around with this for several years of just getting the RBP and did the calculations. We ended up loosing money pretty much every single time. Wife drinks very little, and I don't drink alcohol at all. So we might get may 4 actual drinks in per day, not including waters. Now with the rest of the family, soda/flavored water is OK. We are also diamond and have the vouchers, and this cruise we are also in a suite. So it made little to no sense for us.
  4. I can understand the extension power strips. Its hard to tell if it surge or not, and I get that. However some USB outlets with receptacles, and etc... that I cant understand.
  5. I would recommended another post to keep things clean/clear.
  6. Now I know why its a problem... one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.
  7. @CHRIS WONG and the family met on the initial inauguration of the Odyssey in 2021. Very nice guy, and I wish him great success.
  8. I am not fooled by it, but I used it several times without issues. What I don't understand is how RCL would approve it, but then have it taken away at the pier. I am in the same situation.
  9. I called up RCL, and told them the make and models of the bricks I bring... After being on hold, and getting a call back from them 10 minutes later (for research), it was determined that those items were not in violation. Here are the items: Cruise Approved Power Strip Non Surge with USB-C, USB & 3 Standard Outlet Plugs - Cruise Essentials for Carnival, Royal Caribbean & All Cruise Ships Anker USB C Outlet Extender, 321 Outlet Extender With 3 Outlets and 20W USB C Charging Anker European Travel, PowerExtend USB Plug International Power Adapter
  10. After looking at the picture, I saw that a very popular item was also confiscated. Sure enough, I went to the Amazon page which has it, and it had a picture of it confiscated and others had no issues. I even have a bunch of these and they work great and never had issues as well. Sigh... cause its "multi-plug" now you can't bring it now? The policy says its fine... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy
  11. I think when they say "ports of call" are talking about generic photos of the island/area itself. Like a postcard for example.
  12. Congrats! Here is the low down on cruising with a to-be or a very young infant: Mother can be no more than 24 weeks at the time of cruising. Infants must be a minimum of 6 months old on the sailing date for most voyages, and can't be no more than 2 days at sea until the age of 1.
  13. Will be going as well... this was a last minute booking, but we are happy they had room for the family.
  14. I just tried another RU for this B2B cruise, and it seemed I was also denied based on the emails. I talked to guest services on board, and they stated I would need to wait till after we set sail to see if anything can be done.
  15. True, so its just based on availability and the amount you bid. I also believe its first come first serve too.
  16. I am not counting on a upgrade this time around. I figure I was passed up the first time (now waiting for 2 hours after boarding), so I don't think I am high enough or there was nothing available.
  17. I heard recently they do change every now and then, but I personally haven't seen it.
  18. None of mine are "cancelled" per say. They are basically waiting till a few hours after sailing... I really hope we get it, but I highly doubt it at this point.
  19. Just received this email... "We have reviewed the RoyalUp bids for your upcoming sailing onboard Oasis of the Seas®, and while we have not selected your offer yet, the team onboard the ship may choose it for upgrade based on availability at departure time. You will be able to modify or cancel your bid(s) up to 2 hours before departure on embarkation date. If you do not receive any communication by departure time, your cabin has not been upgraded. If you do not wish to be upgraded onboard, you may cancel your offer by clicking the below link and following through with the cancellation steps. " Anyone else get this and get approved on-board?
  20. "You will be notified on the final status of your upgrade up to day of your sailing, so please check your email up until the time of departure that day. If you do not receive any communication by 2 hours after sailing, your cabin has not been upgraded." That would be odd and weird to set sail, only to find out that you have been upgraded. I guess they are waiting for any last minute cancellations to make sure the cruise is near capacity.
  21. I am about to go on Oasis of the Seas this week, and I am on Deck 9... right next to the Music Hall. So I know what to expect, how loud is the music going to be during the time that they are playing (in our cabin)? Do they have a stop time, say 10PM, or does it go on till 12, 1, etc?
  22. I tried that as well, but nothing near us since we need to take a taxi from West Jersey and be at the flight by 3.
  23. No… via email: Odyssey of the Seas July 31, 2021 Protocol Update We can’t wait to welcome you onboard your sailing. Before departing, we have an update to share regarding our pre-cruise testing requirement. All guests 2 and up, regardless of vaccination status, are now required to provide a negative PCR or antigen test result for COVID-19 on boarding day. Below are additional details. We understand that, for many of you, this is a new and last-minute requirement. We've added this additional precaution in the interest of all guests, crew, and the communities we visit. For the smoothest boarding experience, we strongly suggest you secure a negative test result prior to sailing. Doing so will allow you to proceed through our usual boarding process. However, if guests impacted by this late change cannot get tested before sailing, we'll offer complimentary testing on a limited basis and shuttles to an adjacent terminal for testing. All other previously advised testing protocols remain in place for our guests that are not fully vaccinated.
  24. There is no way to get us tested by the 31st to sail on the Odyssey. They said the following though: Understanding that your sailing is around the corner and you may not find the time to get tested, we will offer complimentary testing and shuttles to an adjacent terminal where testing will take place. However, we strongly recommend you come with a negative test result to avoid waiting and delays in boarding.
  25. Does anyone know the average water depth for the floating cabinas?
