  1. @Lovetocruise2002 and @GregD, thank you so much for the great blog! I just finished reading it all. We will be on the Anthem in about 3 months in the aft GLS and are really looking forward to it. It won’t be long before our first RCCL cruise!!
  2. @GregD…thanks so much for a wonderful review! I just had the chance to read through everything. I will be taking my first RCCL and first SC cruise in October on Anthem. Thanks to @WAAAYTOOO, I also chose a GLS on deck 10, so I will be interested in you July live blog. All the great comments from those you mentioned ( @Lovetocruise2002, @Jax, and @WAAAYTOOO, plus many others, and you are helping me prepare for that first SC cruise. Thanks again!!
  3. @rshov...thanks for an entertaining live blog! I just booked on the Oasis for way out in 2023 and your insights and humor were fun to read! Congrats on the engagement!
  4. @LogicallyLazy…Thanks for the live blog! It has been fun traveling along with you! If you don’t find a way to stowaway on the ship, I hope disembarkation goes smoothly!
  5. I booked the Transatlantic on Anthem OTS for 2022 and really looking forward to it. One of the things I am looking forward to as my first Star Class is that there aren't many ports of call and I can enjoy the ship and all it has to offer!!
  6. My first Royal Caribbean cruise is more than 590 days away...so this just adds to the anticipation!! I have three other cruise before that, boys so looking forward to my first SC experience!
  7. @LogicallyLazy Loving the blog! Thanks for continuing to allow us to cruise along with you! Ribeye is my favorite, so I'm really looking forward to trying that when I finally make it out. Though I know I have to try the Filet night at CK to stay on @Lovetocruise2002's good side!
  8. Happy you are on board! Looking forward to being on the cruise through you. The lunch looks great!
  9. Loved it and I agree with @WAAAYTOOO, I could never keep a secret like that!! Great job and touching story!
  10. @Lovetocruise2002…Sabrina, I just managed to finish this wonderful novel! Thanks so much for a wonderful blog about the great experiences. I still have a lot more reading to do, but am so thankful for you and the many other for posting this. While trip is many, many, many days away, I may have to consider doing my own live blog when the time comes…if I can make the time between all the fun to come!
  11. Thanks @Lovetocruise2002! We will try to book O class next and see what we like. Looks like Suite placement/location will be major considerations, but I’ll worry about that when it comes time for booking.
  12. @WAAAYTOOO…I sure the answer is somewhere that I just haven’t gotten to yet (or read and forgot), but which did you like better…Star Class in O or Q class ships? I’m thinking of booking our next cruise on an O class, since I currently have Anthem OTS booked.
  13. Steve, great question. That is one of mine, too. I think I am going to have a bit of on board credit and it is going to be hard to spend it. Update: I guess I should have scrolled down a bit to @DJsMrs post. Sorry.
  14. Thanks! Not the answer I was hoping for, but what I was expecting! ?
  15. Thanks. Since I won’t be able to obsess over panning the cruise, I guess I can apply that planning bug to checking prices!
  16. @Lovetocruise2002…how do you track all the suite classes on your cruise? Is there a S?W tool to do it or do you just have to keep track of the prices manually?
  17. @SweetPea…Just finished reading your blog…I’m late to the party as I just booked my first RCCL and first SC. I loved the blog, both informative and funny! Thanks for sharing. We’ve cruised a few Haven with a few more already scheduled, so the comparisons between Haven and SC were welcomed!
  18. @Lovetocruise2002 I know this is a reply to an old post, but still in my LONG education phase as I try to learn about Star Class prior to my Oct 2022 cruise. If you want to share your list (or if it is posted somewhere on the blog) I am happy to add it to my planning material.
  19. From what @WAAAYTOOO reviewed, the corner GLS are smaller than the middle ones. Also, you have less storage for clothes upstairs with only one closet instead of two. You do have three balconies and if you have multiple people or kids it may be an advantage to get some “alone” space; or if you are on a cruise with a lot of scenery to see, like Alaska, it may be worth the trade off. We are going on a 12-day transatlantic cruise, with only three stops. Also, you still get a 180 degree view with the rear balcony, that will be enough for us. I recommend you take a look at some of the videos. While the actual size of the corner suite is only 144 sq ft less than the middle GLS, the living room on the corner suites is more cramped as that room is used for the entry and access to the side balcony. Good luck!
  20. Great topic. I just signed into the Blog, but have been reading for the past week. I booked my first cruise on Royal Caribbean and booked the GLS on Anthem. Thanks to @WAAAYTOOO, we changed from a corner to middle GLS on deck 10. I have lots of time to anticipate and learn from everyone…we don’t sail until Oct 2023. We have 4 other cruises booked before then on other lines, 3 on NCL in the Haven and one on Celebrity. Thanks again to everyone for sharing info. The planning and anticipation of our first Star Class cruise will be fun but excruciating!
